Topic: City or Altis?

sorry mods, i don't know where to post this...

help naman po to make a decision, Honda City or Toyota Altis?

My eyes is on City right now, not only that it's cheaper, but i really can't see anything from Altis that would compensate what City offers. Maybe I'll only know their difference when I drive them?

City 1.5 E AT   PHP 811,000.00
Altis 1.6 G M/T   Php 833,000.00

City is 5 speed AT, Altis is 4 speed AT, 5 speed MT
City got solid rear brake disc, Altis has drum type
City has dual airbags, Altis driver side only?
City uses wave key, immobilizer. don't know about Altis
And not to mention City's new "look" inside and out.

Aside from size, what else does the new Altis can offer to maybe change my mind?
I gotta spend 22k more for what? And add 36k more to get a 4 speed AT?

Honda City ka nalang po, IMO, dami nagkalat na altis na gingawa ng taxi! hehehe la lang,, kung sa porma mas lamang ang city sa tingin ko..

Ang Honda is City ay mas mababa kumpara sa Altis, Ang counter part nyan sa Toyota ay yung Vios. Ang Altis ay CIVIC ang counter part nyan sa Honda.

Now, you have to consider this:

Resale Value - Mas mataas ang Altis
Parts - Availability pareho lang. Pero mas mura ang Toyota.
Maintenance - Mataas ang gastos sa Honda pero matibay ang pyesa.
Porma - Pareho lang pero mas sikat ang honda.
Gasoline consumption - Honda mas matipid.

Now kung sarili mong pera ang ibibili mo, go for Altis. Mataas ang re-sale Value at mababa ang maintenance kumpara sa City. Pero kung CIVIC lang sana yan, madali kong sabihin na Go for Civic. Pambabae ang dating ng City.

what im after is the comfort of driving and functionalities of the car. IMO lamang ang city in terms of functionalities, specially in safety and security. Well if "I" think that what the new city offers is comparable or more than what Altis offers, then how much more if i compare City to Vios.

I'm looking for a significant functionality that Altis can bring. cause +22k is pretty much significant price diff.

Something like, it's more comfortable to drive Altis, because ....

Sariling pera ko ang ggamitin, but my priority is get the best product out of it. im not thinking about reselling the car, just thinking about what it can deliver to suit my interest.

My budget wont fit Civic, so i'm limited to altis or city.

and yes, i have read the full specs of each car. but then again, looking at their spec, lamang ang altis IMO.
well, maybe there are some functionalities of Altis that wasn't mentioned in their site which only owners could really testify.

yung altis ng byenan ko pinalitan nila ng City. i dont know why, pero nag City sya.

siguro, kasi kung city/metro driving ka, mas tipid nga ang honda City sa gas consumption lalo na madalas traffic.

the corolla has more resale value coz it's more expensive than the city to begin with, they're not of the same class. But toyota's are of less maintenance, but i couldn't really attest to that coz this model aint part of the "oldskul" toyota line....the carb vs the vvti type to be exact. I'd say, if it's more of the personal use, then go for the honda...they make less diffrence with parts and maintenance coz both follow the newer technology anyway. HP-wise, makes no difference coz even if city has less displacement, the potentials are of almost equal (i have a bias on hondas for this since i owned an Si back then.) If you need a more spacious car, go for the corolla, otherwise, it's wiser to choose the honda.

Altis bro bigger inside remember the City should be compared with Vios which is both a compact Sedan in comparison to Altis dapat same category sila ng Honda Civic both are small sedan 


l never tried a city but Altis is fine rin naman l like the panel and how it hugs you comfort bro l think bigger altis gives you that edge What l' rather buy for that amount is Ford Focus diesel engine in the long run it saves and it's seelk too surprisingly for a diesel..

well choice bro
