i agree with the location issue po.

dito sa cavite, okay ang globe broadband.

kaso lang expired na contract namin, so PLDC ay este ,PLDT na kami ngayon, so far okay naman. minsan mabagal DL speed ko sa megaupload and rapid, ewan ko. watchpad mode lang ako

naka globe dsl ako, more or less 8 months na so far no issue except na nag rerestart paminsan minsan sa server ata nila pero pag mawawala babalik agad,  hindi pa ako nakaranas ng matagal na downtime (e.g. two days or more). dl/ul is fast. (currently at 1mbps plan).  Baka nga location issue lang talaga yan.  toast::

If you are not satisfied with globe, I suggest that you terminate your subscription. I availed globe broadband last august but my connection is really bad. It gave me headaches, time wasted talking to their csr's etc..so I decided to terminate my subscription after one month. I made a letter patterned to this one I found in the internet (not verbatim).

Tina Marie Ortiz
Head, Customer Care
Residential and Business Group
Consumer Broadband Group
U/G Globe Telecom Plaza Tower 1
Pioneer Avenue cor Madison SÃ¥ts.
Mandaluyong City

August xx, 200x

Subject: Complaint Intermittent / No Internet Connection Since Aug 200x

Good Day.

I am xxxxx, I have Globe Broadband installed in XXXXXXX,  with Account No. XXXXXX. In xxxx, I started to experience intermittent connection. My connection would go on and off every five to ten minutes. Globe Innove's onsite technical visit has already changed my port twice but I still have an intermittent connection. After the first my port was changed I have not been able to get any connection during the night time up to early in the morning. I understand that your company every now and then experience technical difficulties however 10 weeks of intermittent and total loss of connection during the night time is highly unacceptable. Worst, the last port change to my account have now left me with a non-existent connection for one week and still going.

I have also called your customer care hotline several times about this ongoing problem. Your CSR's have promised they will apply rebate on my account but still has not reflected on my last billing statement for the month of xxx. However, I am also not so keen on your rebate as I do not wish to pay for a service that has caused me absolute inconvenience.

I would like to terminate my internet connection with Globe Innove. I understand there is a 12-month lock in period but since you have not kept the end of your bargain to provide me a reliable bandwidth, the lock-in period is very unfair in my case. My work relies heavily on a reliable internet connection. Globe Innove's services has caused me great inconvenience and loss of money.

I have been a very diligent customer in paying my bills on time but Globe Innove has not been able to provide me what I am paying for. I deserve a decent and reliable connection 24/7 just like what Globe Innove has promised to its consumers in its various ad campaigns. As a consumer it is very unfair to hold me to a service that have caused me to loose business.

I will pursue filing a formal complaint to the Department of Trade and Industry and National Telecommunications Commission if the issues I have stated above are not addressed immediately.

I have attached supporting documents. I hope this letter will find it's merit. (I did not attach any supporting docs but I have my screenshots of speedtest.net twice a week in case they ask for evidence)

or you can just make your own letter address to globe then you can mention this article from Consumer Act of the Philippines

Art. 50. Prohibition Against Deceptive Sales Acts or Practices. - A deceptive act or practice by a seller or supplier in connection with a consumer transaction violates this Act whether it occurs before, during or after the transaction. An act or practice shall be deemed deceptive whenever the producer, manufacturer, supplier or seller, through concealment, false representation of fraudulent manipulation, induces a consumer to enter into a sales or lease transaction of any consumer product or service.

Without limiting the scope of the above paragraph, the act or practice of a seller or supplier is deceptive when it represents that:

(b) a consumer product or service is of a particular standard, quality, grade, style, or model when in fact it is not;

Do not be afraid of the termination clause in the contract. Hope this one helps.

mga ka espies.. Thanks sa pakikisimpatya... Plan ko is postpaid 512kbps at 995Php.. gan2 kc ang kwento mga sirs.. :D

nainstall etong globe broadband wireless ko nung sept 17 2009 may modem po eto bali HUAWEI B933 yung model. btw Im from Upper Bicutan Taguig..

Then yung first 2 weeks ko disaster talaga halos parang walang internet.. nakakapikon talga then bigla na lang nag okay yung connection after ko magtatawag sa kanila halos araw araw.. and nag request na rin ako na ipa terminate na.. ayun sabi may lock in period daw ako na 1yr pero pede daw pa terminate kung majustify ko na hindi talaga nag memeet ng requirements yung dsl.

so siyempre inobserve ko tapos bigla na lang nag okay halos madalas ako umabot ng 1mbps which means over pa ako.. then eto na..Oct 21 tong nakaraan lang nagbayad me ng initial billing ko sa globe..then after that pag uwi ko ng bahay nag internet so okay naman... dumating ang 12 AM Oct 22 bigla ako na lang bumagal and panay na ang timeout so ginawa ko reboot ko modem which is usually ko ginagawa..pag reboot ko ganun pa rin.. halos 6kb/s na lang DL average ko kahit off peak hours... anong nangyari?? pinatakam lang ba nila ako?? may mga nagpunta na tech wala naman ginagawa puro restart ng modem which kaya ko naman gawin dahil on/off lang nila tapos layas...waaaaaaa.. desidido nako pa terminate toh..ayaw ko na.. try ko pldt..

Got the same experience with both GLOBE DSL plan 995 and GLOBE wi-max. I'm a cafer owner here in Biñan, looking for a better provider when GLOBE came I thought they would be my savior but they gave me a hell of a service my first day was OK actually awesome but on the second day onwards i'ts just like surfing using a dial-up modem or even worst. I already filed for a service termination but those idiots from globe center at SM Sta. Rosa told me that I have to pay for the lock in period charge. To make the story short... I never pay I filed the termination gave the modem to them and leave. GLOBE broadband is not a wise thing to do if I were you be SMART....hehehe!

What you need to know about Globe Broadband Wireless is that you DONT have your OWN IP. There are a couple of IP's that Globe has allotted for Globe Broadband Wireless Users WHICH YOU SHARE, that's why some of the subscribers will experience problems with DL's from RS (your IP is downloading even if you are not) or with logins to YM.

This works like a router to WNIC principle wherein your modem will act as a receiver in a WAN. Sometimes you can just try to turn off/on modem to get a new IP which is less utilized. In Simplicity this means that more than 50 people have the SAME IP at certain times that's why you get a f****d up Speed.

I agree sir... Yan nga ang problem ko ngayon... May extension ako sa phone pero everytime inaangat yung isang phone nawawala yung internet... Any tips ba about the filter? Hindi kasi ako naniwala sa tech nung nagkabit nun e... hahaha... Pero so far regarding speed at net connection satisfied ako sa globe... Lampas 1 year na ako naka globe and better siya compared sa smart ko dati... I really suggest DSL than broadband.. Dami din problem ko nung broadband ko sa smart.. North Caloocan nga pala ang location ko... toast::

More than 1 year na ako subscriber ng Globe Broadband. First 2-months, puro problema binigay sakin. Andyan na yung pinalitan ang modem then nagkaroon ako intermittent connection, then every 1pm-5pm nawawalan ako connection. Sabi daw dahil sa location ko. Pero after nun and up to now, wala ako problema sa internet connection. Kahit nung bagyong ondoy, hindi ako nawalan ng internet connection. By the way, Pampanga location ko and 1mbps ang plan ko.
