An explosion hit the maximum security compound of the New Bilibid Prisons (NBP) in Muntinlupa City Thursday morning, injuring five inmates.
Bureau of Corrections director Franklin Bucayu said the grenade explosion occurred at 9:55 a.m.
He said authorities are still investigating who threw the grenade. SWAT teams are now in the maximum security compound of NBP.

secretary de lima is bound to have sleepless nights again... random raids and tighter security seems to have minimal effect on the NBP security problem... i think the problem is way beyond her head now... drastic actions needs to be done...
