I would recommend that you get into the MCSE program. It is a 7 course programs that will certify you as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Once you pass any of the 7 exams, you already get your MCP.

Finish the MCSE: Security on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Certification track (8 exams)

Make the transition from MCSE: Windows Server 2003 to MCTS: Windows Server 2008

Professionals with an MCSE on Windows Server 2003 must pass one exam to become an MCTS on Windows Server 2008. If you are an MCSE and pass this exam, you will earn three distinct MCTS certifications:
• MCTS: Windows Server 2008 – Active Directory Configuration
• MCTS: Windows Server 2008 – Network Infrastructure Configuration
• MCTS: Windows Server 2008 – Application Platform Configuration

maganda meron combination ng Linux like Linux+ or LPI for Linux tapos MCSA or MCSE for Microsoft tapos Cisco... so far for me it has been a long journey for me...next target ko cisco, sana next year... hirap din mag aral eh.. much better kung ma-eemploy ka sa isang company that sponsor certs para makatipid ka sa training tsaka sa examination.

yes its true to get the skills pero why not get the certs if you are really skilled diba? tingin ko pag me kasabayan ka na highly skilled din tapos certified pa panigurado kukunin yung certified depende sa kalibre ng company kce yung pagiging certified doesnt end there like from what I know, if you are a CCNP tapos di mo na eexhibit yung skills ng CCNP pedeng ma-revoke yun pag nag complain yung company pinag tatrabahuan mo(correct me nlng if im wrong).

its also true na meron mga certified pero di gano kagalingan eh one reason jan yung mga nagkalat na dumps. I don't say na i did not use dumps pero i really find them useful hehehe. at least pag dating sa trabaho, nakaka raos nman khit papano with the help of our besfren google tsaka mga forum of course.
