M4a Files (What are these?)

(1/2) > >>

plattputti:
I downloaded the Best of APO and the Nyoy Volante albums from this forum, and I got M4a files.  My computer couldn't recognize them (and neither do I).  What are M4a files, anyway, and how do I play them?

madcarabao:
Files in .M4A format are actually the audio layer of (non-video) MPEG 4 movies. M4A is slated to become the new standard for audio file compression. This format is also known as Apple Lossless, Apple Lossless Encoder, or ALE. It is a new codec designed to provide lossless encoding in less storage space.

try itunes. pwede kasi sa ipod yan. or if not, find a codec for this. usually divx player makakaplay din n2 since it can play mp4.

plattputti:
Oh, so I just need to find a software that can convert M4A to MP3, right?

madcarabao:
pwede din...

plattputti:
Can anybody suggest a good program for conversion? Wala akong makita eh. If I know the title of the software, it may be easier to search.
