thnks for the info..
-
and don't forget Microsoft AntiSpyware.
-
thanks!

i was formerly using avast personal. great program! it even has that scandalous warning (by way of a siren) if it has detected a virus. then i had the chance to get the zone alarm internet security suite na licensed (includes firewall, anti-virus, antispyware, etc). when i was installing the product, i found out that its not compatible with avast. so i just went with zone alarm, then im using bit defender personal as my back up. bit defender is only on demand scanning so it doesnt have any conflict with zone alarm. try it also, kahit back up lang.
microsoft antispyware, sa totoo lang eh di ko alam kung maganda ba talaga o hindi. it has never detected anything since i downloaded it last year after its release. but id go with ad aware and spybot. yun nga lang, nakakapagtaka dahil when ever i run ad aware, it detects 2 "possible virus infections." then it would repair it but after running system mechanic pro (thank you very much BUTTMAN, great program!), it would say 2 security vulnerabilities found. but i dont really mind it at all.
hope this helps!

whats the difference pre? baka try ko yan.. hehehe...

eneways some links.
to uninstall internet explorer just run the program tanggal ang internet explorer hehehe. puwede mo install ulit yung internet explorer pero hindi na siya nakakabit sa shell magiging stand alone software na siya (more stable at mas mabilis achuchuchu) grabe kasi security holes ng IE

there is an easier way to prevent infection through windows messenger and messenger service (magkaiba yan sila)
for windows messenger, just uninstall it. for messenger service, you have to disable that server or just block port 135 para hindi ka mapasukan ng mga virus. yung link na binigay mo is how to disable messenger service not windows messenger
as for IE. simple lang, wag ka gumamit ng IE. kahit na andyan lang yan ok lang basta wag mo lang sya gamitin. d na kailangan iuninstall
-
hehehe oo nga kasi pag try kong unintall ehh may mga program din na nagrereklamo ksi nangangailangan sila ng higher version ng ie... like tuneuputilities and ect....
-
yup. in my case, kailangan sya ng peachtree accounting ko
-
salamat po nito
-
Mga bro salamat sa mga tips...
Wag niyo uninstall yong IE kasi may mga website na kailangan nang IE. Use another browser instead like Firefox and Opera web browsers.
And most importantly get your windows updated....
-
kaya ako ang gamit ko ay mozilla firefox.....
-
ayon sa symantec, maraming security holes ang firefox. dont know kung na patch up na nila ung mga butas n yun. hindi ko nagustuhan ang performance ng firefox, almost same lang sila ng IE (in some cases), mabagal. i suggest using opera. ;)
-
im using firefox.. its a lot faster than IE. and it has better security. i dont understand what symantec is saying about security holes. compared to IE, firefox is way way more secure. baka hindi lang supported ng kanilang products ang firefox (perhaps they dont have the plugin for firefox) kaya ganun ang sabi nila
i have been using firefox since ver. 1.01 (1.5.01 na ngayon) and i have yet to encounter any security problem. as compared to using IE before, mas marami akong naging problema sa IE ko

Tama ka dyan sir bodieph.
Firefox is faster than IE. More safe and secured a well.
