AVG 7.5 Free Edition allows you to update thru the Internet. You may also update manually by downloading updated virus definition files at http://free.grisoft.com/doc/24/lng/us/tpl/v5. Just follow the instructions. If kung hindi pa rin mag work try to check your connection baka naka block sa firewall ang AVG. You may also try 30-day evaluation version of Kaspersky http://www.kaspersky.com/trials. Install, update thru the Internet and scan your computer. By the way, Kaspersky has to uninstall AVG prior to installation. Kung hindi pa rin mag work -- Use brute force..

if you are using the avg professional,try to right click the icon of avg in your system tray(the one located in the lower right corner of your pc) and click LAUNCH AVG CONTROL CENTER.afterwards,click UPDATE MANAGER then SETTINGS.if you are using a pc connected to a LAN(especially if you are in office),click PROXY then select USE PROXY SERVER and enter MANUALLY the SERVER and PORT NUMBER(if you dont know,MAYBE you can ask your office IT),but if you are using DIAL UP CONNECTION,the scenario is different.
