The Department of National Defense is currently on the bidding process for 2 anti-submarine helicopters with allocated budget of PhP5.4 billion.

Maceda said, “A 30% commission would bring P1.8 billion in commissions. There should be an investigation of the purchases of equipment under the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) modernization program.” And he raised the question, “Who is behind the deal?”

Yung commisions na nabanggit common practice iyan talaga world wide...

 ang mga manufacturer ng vehicles / equipments, military or civilian nag bibigay sila ng commisions, reward iyun dahil napili mo yung product nila.

specially when you talk about milllions of dollars.

to keep it simple in most countries SOP ang Bidding you have at least 3 manufacturers na mag offer ng product nila sa ganitong price, mag kakatalo iyan sa package offered.

sa performance, technical support, accessories na kasama and requirements ng isang buyer..

yung ibang manufacturer kasi sa price ng unit duon din nila kukuhanin yung pang commision na ibibigay nila, kaya price tumataas.

 pero kung ma control ng government natin instead of receiving cash commisions we can ask nalang for better upgrades, improve electronics, weapons, spare engines or parts.

in that way whole country ang makikinabang and not just a few.

They can always go govt.to govt. deal no commission but a little more expensive

ernesto maceda ... still a wily politician just needs some issue to put his name in a limelight again, this trapos will do anything to get into power even if it means shutting down the afp medernization. his advisers if he had any should look for other issues that hinders our development not on issues that is popular but help our nation.

makes me wonder .... where is thier loyalty to the motherland ? ......
