hindi naman problema yan whether its 2.5" (for laptops) or 3.5" (for desktop) same lang naman gamit na connection (mostly SATA), so pwede parin isaksak sa SATA port ng desktop motherboard mo yan. ang isang magiging possible problem mo lang dyan is kung saan ilalagay in case gusto mong gamitin as HDD for desktop (some cases merong case ang 2.5" so you can put it in the 3.5" bay sa casing

kung ayaw mo magbukas ng casing, you can also use 2.5" external casing para via USB ang connection sa PC mo

it would be easy if you have SATA connection sa Mobo ng PC mo and sa lappy naman for sure SATA na yung HDD mo

or kung wala naman you can buy HDD dock Station

mahal ang docking station dito sa Pinas.

250 lang ang external casing sa CDR King.

tried this, direct I changed my 3.5hdd to 2.5 from my laptop pero ayaw mag pursue sa windows. bios check ok pero when upon "starting windows" biglang mag rereboot. laging ganun..

would buying an external case is ok? thru USB baka mas gumana?

did you check the SATA sequence? is it set to AHCI or IDE? my guess is ang gamit ng laptop mo IDE and ang setting sa bios mo is AHCI (or vice versa). yung sinasabi mong biglang nagrerestart that is one indication na ganun (baliktad ang settings so OS does not recognize it and cannot run properly hence the restart)

or gawin nalang secondary HDD yung laptop HDD

ok ang nangyayari is that 2 Versions of WINDOWS ang nakikita nung PC mo kaya nagcoconflict, your best option is sa BOOT DIRECTORY set mo kung sino ang mauuna sa boots equence so the correct WINDOWS is loaded and as sir bod said set the correct setting sa HDD mo

Thanks ya'll ginawa ko yung suggestion ni Bodieph and Marabutit. pinalitan ko muna sa dvdr then used my main HDD as my os and laptop HDD as secondary. salamat. :)
