Sad to say, mahirap mangyari iyan, policy kasi ngayon e hindi na colonialism. Hindi na lupa ang basis ng kayamanan ng mga bansa ngayon. Mas gusto nilang bebentahan na lang tayo ng mga produkto nila at pautangin tayo ng pautangin hanggang di na tayo makabayad.

Green and gleaming,  they rumbled through Manila's thoroughfares on a busy monday afternoon.  For Manilans,..it was an awesome spectacle. Some 40 tanks and armored personnel carriers accompanied by thousands of troops marching in full battle dress paraded unannounced through the abruptly closed-off streets and park on June 10, two days before Philippine independence day......
"This is a show of force. This has never happened before" declared opposition politician Homobono Adaza.
When the actual indepence day came this year ,however, even the rehearsal paled. More than 50 tanks rolled through the streets in a two and a half hour spectacular. Thirty six helicopters and 24 Jet Fighters whistled overhead. At least 5,000 troops including 2 batallions of elite combat rangers marched before the grandstand. In all, it was the biggest show of military might since World War 2 in the Philippines and in terms of hardware a good deal more powerful.
Explaining the unprecedented display, President Marcos told the nation in a hoarse but forceful voice "There seems to be a tendency today to under-rate the capability of the Armed Forces of the Philippines...Now perhaps it is time that we all became aware of the real resources for the protection and defense of the republic. It is time we conveyed the message to those who do not understand what they are up against"

I believe this was Marcos' response to Malaysia's military activity in the south back then.

Wooooshhh!! Atleast we were once a strong country.. haha.. Now Malaysia will wipe the floor with us, considering that our hardware today are still the ones in the photo.. and that 24 fighter jets is now down to ZERO!!  .. I think in the 1950's our airforce was one of the best in asia.. those were good times..

Yep I know.. wasnt reffering to the marcos era.. Im not sure.. pero panahon pa ata ni Magsaysay un.. there were times that we had more planes than pilots.. and our PAF is one of the best equiped in Asia..

Siguro panahon ni Magsaysay binili yung mga 50+ F-86 jets ng PAF, pero ang alam ko is yung 30+ na F-5 A/B at 70+ F-8 Crusaders natin binili during Marcos era.

We don't need a Main Battle Tank.  We are not in Europe or in other parts of the Asian Continent.  Our terrain is mostly rolling and thickly forested. Hence, the focus on Close Air Support and Combat Support Assets.  For the Air Force and Navy, we have upgraded firing systems. 

Our country is rich in natural resources and while it may be true that our political structure sucks, our Armed Forces is sure to give them one helluva fight.  What would any of those powers want in our country anyway?  Headaches?

Based on my simple intelligence Asessment, our defense is very weak. lagi na lang tayo umaasa sa US. For sure hindi natin kaaway ang us. Doon tayo focus sa China. Alam ba nyo, kung ano strategy ng China bago para tayo sakupin? (Have you seen the old movie of Jet Lee regarding the opium War in China? In fact historical yun.) Gagawin muna tayong buwang sa droga, (Shabu, ecstacy atbp.) nang sa gayun, our nex generation political leaders wont have the ability to think what is right for Philippines, ginagawang corrupt ang nasa gobyerno by offering bribes (ZTE, Atong Ang, Lucio Tan, Spratly). They are experts on Psychological Warfare, by making it appear they have to plans to invade us, thats is why Our Armed Forces tend to relax by interfering in Politics instead of making defensive plans for a war that is about to come. Yan lang muna bros, kape muna ako......

korek pare.. let me downgrade that.. i think wla tayung defense actually.. kahit na tignan mo, mismo ating problema hindi natin ma=solve kahit ilang taon na! considering that, mas mahina ang armas ng mga NPA or etc...  when you say defense, we can be able to defend our country from invaders na mahirapan silang pumasok sa bansa natin.. hehehehe.. i think makakapasok agad kahit sino sa pinas pag may nagtry na mag invade, magtatago na lng tayu sa damuhan.. guerilla warfare is pretty useless nowadays, parang rebelde lng gumagawa or terorista.. to solve the problem, bombahan mo na lng ang lugar na maraming incident ng ambush or raids!! ehehehehe... pa-cute cute lng ang guerilla warfare.. our AFP is actually full of thieves and liars (specially high ranking officers!!).....  hehehehee....
