PARTITION MERGING PROBLEM

help naman mga tol, nag merge kc ako ng partition ko using norton partition magic 8, after that hindi ko na mabuksan ang folder kung saan nakalagay ang lahat ng files ko, sabi drive is not accessible access is denied, use ko checkdisk ayaw ding mag tuloy tuloy, help naman para marecover ko ang mga files ko... tnks... :'(

slave mo muna ung HD mo sa ibang PC saka mo mbu2ksan ung files sa folder...or sa bios set-up gwin mong main

nagkaron lang yan ng konteng problema, nagmove kasi ang parition locations and windows cant read the files properly

ano nga ba ginawa ko about this before... hmmm, i think i reinstalled windows system files. i did a repair installation

naka slave na ung hd ko before ko pa i merge ang partition, ano pa kaya dapat kong magawa

nakup.....kaya ako di gumagamit ng partition magic......nasisira ako dyan....... actually medyo mahirap yan kasi nakamerge na.......mas madaling magmerge pero pag split mahirap na........ tama si sir bodieph.....try reinstalled windows system files......or try to fix windows system files......pag ayaw.......the best is reformat your harddisk but b4 your reformat....i fdisk mo muna........

mas delikado yan pag fdisk ginamit mo since fdisk requires that you format the disk after you made the changes. you wont be able to access the drive if you dont format it

unlike partition magic wherein the drive/s are accessible immediately. one drawback though is that when merging partitions, a conflict with windows arises. windows will no longer detect the proper info since as per its system files, dapat say dalawa ang drives ngayon isa nalang. kaya nagkakaron ng problema. dapat nagupdate din ang system files, but they dont.

so, solution is to reinstall the system files. doing a repair installation seems to be the best way since your files wont get erased and your settings are retained

btw, you wont have any problems if the drive/s you merged doesnt include drive c:

sir bodie panu koman sa command prompt gamit ko windows xpserv2 80 gig hardisk ko partition ko sana ng mg 20 gig panu yu :'(ng command??

ibilam you want to use fdisk? wala yan sa xp. just use third party partition managers

if you have a windows 98 startup disk (or even winME) andun yun.
