Synopsis:
At 4:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon "ODETTE" {USAGI} was located based on all available data
at 160 km West of Itbayat, Batanes (21.2°N,120.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 19 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas.
Forecast:
Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas. Ilocos province, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province and the rest of Cagayan will have rains with gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the west to southwest over the rest of the country and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
