well if you are really interested in such things.... when i was still studying in the ubelt area circa 90's, i joined a youth charismatic group, and a guy told me from that group that a satanic cult is hosting a charismatic session also in the ubelt area... where it is? sa cartimar sa recto...believe it  or not it does. i asked a friend from the area if its true he told me yes.they held such things every monday 10pm onwards... i just dont know kung meron pa today

ang kaibahan ng religion at culto ay ang dami lang naniniwala o parokyano, kahit islam, chistianismo o kahit anong satanic cult pa yan, naniniwala parin sa mga bagay na hindi naman scientifically proven at ang iba pa sa mga teachings ay illogical. in short, they are just the same bullshit.

@tokenene:Maraming member ng tinatawag nating "kulto" ay hindi naman mukhang mamamatay-tao. Talagang ganoon na sold talaga sila na ang paniniwala nila ay tama, tulad ng ibang tao. Unless member sila ng mga "religion" na itinayo para sa parody gaya ng Discordianism at FSM.

Two things come to mind while reading this thread.

1) There was a line from a movie (it may have been an Akira Kurosawa movie; I'm not quite certain) wherein it was said that the devils were going about their wicked way--until man arrived and they all fled in fear, knowing how much more wickedness man was capable of doing.

2) Many cult leaders--whether Satanic, Christian, or whatever belief--started their little groups with a supposedly enlightened agenda but were actually just trying to find a foolproof way to indulge in the decadence that lay at the core of their own selves. For example, David Koresh (of the infamous Branch Davidian sect) couldn't play guitar well enough to even be a one-hit wonder so he made up his own sub-branch of Christianity so that he could live the life of a rock star with all the perks and none of the liabilities.
