9. FBI Hostage Rescue Team-FBI Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) is the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation's counter-terrorism paramilitary tactical team. The HRT is trained to rescue U.S. citizens and allies who are held by a hostile force, either terrorist or criminal. The Hostage Rescue Team was founded in 1982 by Danny Coulson and completed its final certification exercise in October 1983.

DSS Mobile Security Div.-The Office of Mobile Security Deployment (MSD) (formerly Mobile Security Division) is a small, specialized unit within the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) of the United States Department of State. MSD is composed of specially trained Diplomatic Security Service Special Agents that typically operate in high-threat environments with little outside support.



6. U.S. Marshall Service (SOG)-The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is a United States federal law enforcement agency within the United States Department of Justice. The office of U.S. Marshal is the second oldest federal law enforcement office in the United States behind Customs. It assumed its current name in 1969. While the first colonial postal service Surveyors were appointed in 1772, they were not deemed Special Agents until 1801, and were organized as the United States Postal Inspection Service in 1830.



5. LASD SED (Special Enforcement Detail)-Established in 1968, the SED was one of the nation’s first SWAT teams. Responsibilities of the SED include high-risk tactical situations (barricaded suspects, hostage situations, high-risk warrant service), dignitary protection/security escorts (visiting dignitaries, protection missions involving the transportation of high risk inmates, mission specific mobile field force deployment), mission specific crime prevention (patrol stations, detective units), and the conduct of security threat assessments of critical County facilities.

NYPD Emergency Service Unit-The Emergency Service Unit (ESU) is the multi-faceted and multi-talented element within municipal, county, or state authority law enforcement agency’s Special Operations command. ESU’s exist mainly in the regional New York City Area but includes several jurisdictions outside the region. ESU is also synonymous with the term Emergency Services Squad (ESS) and Emergency Service Detail (ESD). The ESU operates at the direction of the command staff and responds to emergency and high-risk situations that occur outside the scope of duties of responding patrol and criminal investigation units. ESU members train continually both in-house, with other local, state, Federal and military specialized units and sometimes members of a FEMA Urban Search & Rescue (USAR) Team. The ESU provides the Special Weapons and Tactical (SWAT) function for high-risk, tactical operations involving barricaded suspects, hostage situations, high-risk warrant service, tactical crowd control and dignitary/VIP protective operations.



3. U.S. Border Patrol (BORTAC)-BORTAC is an initialism for the United States "Border Patrol Tactical Unit". BORTAC is the tactical team of the United States Border Patrol.BORTAC headquarters is collocated with its training unit at Biggs Army Airfield in El Paso, Texas. The BORTAC training unit is currently responsible for conducting all CBP tactical team training. In addition the unit also provides specialist training to other Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. As part of a joint Department of State/ Department of Justice training program, BORTAC has also provided tactical team and counter narcotics training to several foreign governments police, paramilitary, tactical, drug, and specialist units, including the El Salvador National Police's Grupo de Respuesta Policial (GRP) tactical unit.



2. Las Vegas Metro S.W.A.T.-Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (also known as the LVMPD or Metro) is the joint city-county police force for the City of Las Vegas and Clark County, Nevada. It is run by the Sheriff of Clark County, elected every four years. The current Sheriff of Clark County is Douglas C. Gillespie, who was recently elected to a second term. The Sheriff is the only elected head law enforcement officer within the county. The other major agencies: Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), Henderson Police Department, North Las Vegas Police Department, Boulder City Police Department, Mesquite Police Department, and Clark County School Police Department are headed by chiefs that are appointed and serve for an indeterminate period.
Metro is the largest law enforcement agency in the state of Nevada, and one of the largest police agencies in the United States.



1. LAPD S.W.A.T.-Since 1967, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Special Weapons And Tactics Team (SWAT) has provided a ready response to situations that were beyond the capabilities of normally equipped and trained Department personnel. Since its inception, LAPD SWAT Team members have affected the safe rescue of numerous hostages, arrested scores of violent suspects and earned hundreds of commendations and citations, including several Medals of Valor, the Department’s highest award for heroism in the line of duty. Today, the LAPD SWAT Team is known worldwide as one of the foremost police tactical units in contemporary law enforcement.  The need for SWAT expertise and assistance with warrant service is dependent upon: unusual circumstances beyond the capabilities of normal warrant service; heavily fortified location; weapons are present and have been used in the past; gang members are known to be present; use of diversionary tactics is anticipated; and, door and window pulls are anticipated.
