Today, April 1, a feed reached PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) saying there was a slight commotion at the birthday party of It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda.

A confrontation was supposed to have happened in the early morning hours of March 31, involving ABS-CBN talents Anne Curtis and Sam Concepcion.

A PEP source said he got the details from a party guest at the celebration held in 71 Gramercy, Century City, Kalayaan Avenue corner Salamanca Street, Makati City.

He said, “Maraming taong nakakita at nakarinig.”

But Vice—who is also Anne’s co-host in It’s Showtime—reportedly went around asking the guests not to talk about it: “Huwag na lang ilabas.”



THE INCIDENT. From her hosting stint at the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 pageant at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, which ended a little past midnight, Dyesebel lead star Anne headed straight for Vice Ganda’s party.

That was where she saw Sam, a 21-year-old singer-actor who is rumored to be the boyfriend of Anne’s younger sister, Jasmine Curtis Smith.

According to the PEP source, Anne drank at the party.

Then, at a certain point of the party, she was seen approaching Sam, who was in the balcony area talking to some female guests.

It was then that Anne reportedly said to Sam, pointblank: “Why are you here? Who invited you? You are not classy enough to be here!”

Her voice was said to be loud enough to catch the attention of the other guests.

Still according to the PEP source, it didn’t end there.

Anne next bashed Sam’s car, saying, in effect, that his present car couldn’t compare to her oldest car.

She also allegedly told Sam: “Ba’t mo niloloko ang kapatid ko?”

Sam then left the scene, looking embarrassed.

The PEP source said that he was “mangiyak-ngiyak.”

But another source, who moves in the circle of Sam and Anne, clarified, “I wasn’t sure about crying… baka upset. Marami rin kasi ang nakarinig.”

When PEP asked this second source about Anne’s supposed verbal putdown of Sam, he confirmed that the putdown did happen.

Gentlemen, please: Anne Curtis already denied that the incident took place. I suggest that we take her word for it and tell ourselves that nothing happened. After all, she's already under enough stress as it is. To wit:

1) She has to do that mermaid TV series and expose herself to sunlight and sea water. Her Australian DNA aside, her skin doesn't react well to either of the two (all the cosmetic treatments apparently neutralized her genes). Unfortunately, she was practically handed the show on a silver platter so she can't just quit. She'll have to endure the working environment until the program is over.

2) Speaking of the mermaid show, she also has to deal with all the perverts who watch the show hoping against hope that she'll finally expose her breasts. Yes, she knew what kind of role she was getting but that doesn't mean that she has to like all the vulgar viewers who only think about her breasts instead of focusing on her acting ability. All she really wants is for people to regard her as a true artist and not as a cheap, boob-flashing artista.

3) Speaking of perverts, she has to work with John Lloyd Cruz. This was primarily a management decision; their boss wanted to prove that they were the best of friends and co-workers so the Century Tuna deal was wangled for them in short order. Imagine being forced into working with someone whom you suspect slept with your little sister or who helped someone sleep with your little sister. That's how tense that professional partnership is.

4) Speaking of tense, she suspects that Ellen Adarna is trying to steal her boyfriend out from under her. She also suspects that Bubbles Paraiso and Phoemela Barranda are whispering into her boyfriend's ear for him to dump her already and find someone who isn't so volatile. And she suspects that Cristine Reyes got her current TV commercial by sleeping with their boss and she loathes being upstaged by Cristine Reyes in that regard.

5) Speaking of the boss, she's currently being kept on a short leash and is expected to be at the gym when she's not working or resting at home. That means no bars and no parties...which means no alcohol and recreational pharmaceuticals. She can live without the latter; keep her off the former for an extended period and her nerves get wound tighter than the strings on a tennis racket.

Let's also think about Vice-Ganda, shall we? He's supposed to ride herd over Anne and keep her out of trouble. Incidents like this will cost him his bonus if he doesn't nip it in the bud the way he did with Deniece Cornejo. He works hard for his money so let's not deprive him of it.

So, my Espiya brethren, what do you say? Let's just treat this matter as water under the bridge (so to speak) and give Anne a break. Let's talk about other things such as her upcoming concert or perhaps what kind of effect Captain America: The Winter Soldier will have on future episodes of Agents Of SHIELD.

She wouldn't have to deal with naysayers about her show if her acting has a little more depth,this role will always be compared to the previous ones who took on the role,well at least the best ones.
From the very first Edna Luna who was directed by the great Gerry de Leon, and of course the great Vilma Santos who was directed by Emanuel Borlaza. It doesn't help that the tv shows writers seems at lost sometimes and they should have stick closer to the Mars Ravelo's original creation.

Regarding her partying and private dallyings,the  best solution is make it a close party with guests,no reporters,everyone should check in their phones and no embarrassing pics.What happens indoors will always be a secret just like some of the Hollywood parties.

With Captain America 3 they will probably working on an arc where Steve Rogers is not Captain America anymore,he will be replace by insane John Walker so it will be a battle for the mantle
and the return of S.H.I.E.L.D. but before Norman Osborne replaced it with H.A.M.M.E.R. Eventually SHIELD will return with Maria Hill as its new director taking over Nick Fury.
