Help: Wifi Signal extender for 2nd floor?
« on: July 04, 2018, 09:22:51 am »
Hi, I'm currently subscribed to sky internet with 64mbps speed and cable. problem ko is signal ko sa 2nd floor rooms mejo 1-2 bars and nahina yung bandwidth to 20-30mbps, sa 1st floor lan, I always have 60+mbps. Is there a device where I could connect a lan cable then to another wifi router na mg papalakas nung signal?

I think the problem is mkakapal yung pader ng haus namin sa 2nd floor and we also have alot of wifi signals in the area bka marami conflict sa channels.

Any advice what best device / solution to my problem? wifi lng ako ng kaka problem.. pg direct lan sa baba okay naman

Kung wifi-wifi bridge yan, 50% speed drop agad yan, bababa pa as signal goes down, walang way around it.

if meron ka lumang wifi router like sa pldt pwede mo set into bridge mo latag ka nag UTP cable from groundfloor to 2nd floor ayon meron kana malakas na signal :D

pero kung wala meron naman wifi booster eh marami ka mabilihan ganyan sample sa lazada meron yan  ;)

is that internet speed or local transfer speed? if transfer speed yan, there is something wrong there. also, wireless ba ibig mo sabihin? if yes, then oo natural yung loss since sabi mo nga makapal ang pader. you can try using a LAN cable from your first router to the second router (even the E3000 will do). tapos from the second router, just configure the WLAN normally (kabit mo sa WAN yun LAN cable from the first router). yan ginawa ko sa bahay (we have 3 routers para covered ng buong bahay ang wireless, each router is connected to the main router via LAN)

mahirap pag range extender lang, yun ang first ko ginawa. pero since the initial problem nga is mahina ang kuha ng signal galing sa router, halos wala rin nagawa yun range extender (maganda lang yun pag malayo ang area and not much obstruction)
