as stated by the "staff" of the former congressman, the main reason for the attempted suicide is he got so depressed for losing in the May election.  asar, kaya nga eleksyon eh, para may lakas yung tao na pumili.  accept na lang kung ano sentiments ng nakararami.  focus na lang si kay Daiana.

My guess is that he was just playing around with the gun in front of his staff and it went off accidentally. This whole suicide story was probably cooked up to make him appear less of a fool in the eyes of the public.

nagbigay na siya ng statement, pure accident daw ang nangyari. nabasa ko sa newspaper kaso hindi ko mahanap ang article online

typical police operation.  sa umpisa pa lang, vague na statements ng mga pulis kaya alam alam na kung saan patungo ang lahat, ganun pa lang kaaga.  however, if we will piece out the evidence, there is a mention of two suicide notes, a sum of money purposely for cremation, as stated in the suicide notes, tapos ngayon eh wala na yung suicide notes.  disappearing amidst the many policemen around!  parang yung kagabi lang ah, ANG HILIG MAWALA NG MGA BAGAY-BAGAY!
