1911 Pistol Spare parts
« on: June 13, 2013, 06:35:45 am »
Thanks in advance.

Twin Pines. they carry most of the brands of 1911.

if you are buying springs go with "Wolf" brand.

in theory you can fit/swap most 1911 parts. but for sure fit, go with the parts that are for the brand you have. especially sa extractor. i've read a lot of horror stories na short/long extractors nabili nila. it helps to have a gunsmith fit them correctly after purchasing the part.

and dont trust ung mga "uy pareho ng baril ko yan. tara kutingtingin natin" most often than not, they dont know/want to tinker with their gun so sayo ung pag experimentuhan.

a few or even 1mm tolerance in a fit can make or break your gun. :)

Try armscor... But better have a gunsmith looking after your upgrade... Unless you know what you doing :

go with a reputable gunsmith.  he will be knowledgeable as to what needs to be replaced and what brand will bring the sought after improvement.  have experience with ed brown parts and so far so good.  wolf i heard are sought after by race gun fans.  mine is ed brown parts since that is what the gunsmith pushed then.  kanya-kanya lang yan, kumbaga sa doktor eh kanya-kanyang brand na "tinutulak".  but you'd definitely want to go with branded and reputable parts and not those generic ones.  happy shooting and stay safe always.

2. Hindi pare-pareho ang 1911. You need a good gunsmith.

Mortal Sin yan.

@Erap, i am not 1911 guru.

Bro Siriusblack, unahin natin yung Remington Rand mo.

Yung RR (Remington rand) mo, madami ng modifications. Serrations, trigger, rear sight etc.

Pero malalaman mong fake yan:

Slide

> front sight nya kakaiba sa Genuine RR GI. Masyadong mataas yan at hindi proportion.
> Ejection port hindi proportion ang contoured nya.
> Over all slide, hindi pantay ang bakal nya.

Frame

> Yung Serial number nya bako-bako. re-etched malamang.
> Trigger guard masyadong bilog.

Isunod natin yung Colt.

Eto yung Colt mo Bro:

Actually bro, yang Colt mo mukhang orig. Pero mas maganda kung malinaw ang pics. Kung orig man, wala nang value Maraming binagong masyado.

According to your lower frame, yang unit mo ay gawa noong 1911-1924. Eto comparison ng production noong 1911-1924 and 1925 to present.

Daming japeyk doon.

In addition, if you want modification, eto o, Norcs ng ilang friends ko. I am also planning to build one in the future if budget permitted.

Off limits ako sa board bro. Thanks ulit Sir!

Most of the budgeted Shooters using Norcs as base guns. Let me show show you some units of upgraded Norcs:

This one is simple yet elegant beauty Norc of Bro PG:

Upgraded toy of Bro Jake. Norc again shoots like a hell:

Now, see this care fully: A master piece Norc, again by Jake (Bro Jake, wherever you are pahiram muna ng pics ng Norc mo). This pistol assembled by the finest Gunsmiths (Tony Olinarez, Gil martinez and the legend Manny Sunico)in the country. Gun smithing alone costs almost 40k, no exaggeration:

Jake (aka Clarkhardball) says:

My latest project, single stack with all the bells and whistles. Lower built by Gil Martinez, upper Built by Tony Olinarez, fine tuning and trigger work done by Manny Sunico:

AET Barrel:

Custom Magwell with Lanyard Loop:

Original Bomar, Koenig Hammer, S&A Fixed Beavertail, Kimber Ambi:

Caspian Trik Trigger, Chip McCormick Magcatch, Ahrends Grips with Mag Access Dish:

Flushed Dovetail Frontsight, Flat Top:

Finished in Polished Blue and E-nickel:

CHEERS!

Jake completed this project cost more expensive than Colt Gold Cup. Again, gunsmiths fees alone cost 40k, barrel cost 28k. Jake is a very meticulous person, building a quality 1911 is his fashion.
