oo nga. wala ng sisihan. i mean kht hindi tayo na TF, d naman siguradong mananalo rin tayo. lets just support each other and wag ng magsisihan. nagsacrifice yung mga yan ng oras nila para maglaro for our country.

yun nga ang kino-quote nila henson at trinidad eh...napakabigat ng expectation natin na manalo, gayong alam naman nating 50-50 chance yun( wala namang tabla sa basketball unlike hockey or soccer)

pero good game na rin kahit paano at nakahabol sila sa last quarter...yun nga lang hindi malinaw yung technical ke chot...saka yung mga tawag parang, madikitan ka lang foul agad?? saka kitang kita yung jitters sa loob ng court eh...lahat kinakabahan...like yung free throws ni helterbrand...kitang kita sa camera na nakangiwi sya...kung na convert nya yung 2 shot na yun...baka nag iba complexion ng game...

pero talagang ganyan...kung yung jordan nga tinalo china, bakit hindi natin gawing inspirasyon yun para sa game sa china bukas??


at saka tambakan agad( kung kaya) yung remaining teams sa group para mataas ang quotient natin....

sayang talo...pero aus lang din...we filipinos know that we have  competitive team...pero d parin talaga kaya ng team pilipinas ang gnung klase ng kalaban..napagiwanan na tayo... laffman:: effort at heart sa laro ay hindi laging factor para manalo...dpat matangap ntin ung fact na mdyo d p ntin cla kya... laffman::

   I've never seen an RP5 play as badly as they did earlier. They were poorly coached as well.  The coach could not find the proper combination to get their offense going. What was astonishing was that all this time we had hoped and prayed that they would learn to shoot free throws and play defense and rebound. And finally they did... for almost an entire ballgame(except maybe for some part in 3rd)... we played good defense and box out taller opponents for rebounds. Plus we had a better free throw shooting percentage because Raymundo shot most of the free throws given to us. And lo and behold... we could not make shots even if they were lay-ups or dunks. We were shooting 14 percent after 3 quarters and 15 or 16 percent for the entire game. We were firing blanks from the get go. Ang hirap ako intindihin, bakit puro isolation plays lang tayo nakaka-score? After 5 months of preparation, is this all we have to show?
Di ako makapaniwala... I've seen them in practice... nasa harap lang ng school namin ako nakatira... and every now and then pinapanood ko sila sa Moro Lorenzo gym. May motion offense naman silang pina-practice... bakit wala siya during the game? Tsaka bakit ayaw nila tumira ng mid-range jumpers? Di na nga pumapasok perimeter shots mo... bakit di mo ilapit? Bakit di sila nag-adjust? Titira man ng malapit or drive to the basket... tira namang takot! Ritualo was inserted during the game in the latter stages but there were no plays to free him up for a shot... again why? He was not able to attempt a single shot. Alam ko fellow spies di tayo ang naglalaro... madali magsalita... malalaki ang kalaban at kung anu-ano pa maisip ko para depensahan ang RP5.  It is just so frustrating na we lost to Iran na I think is the weakest of the 3 teams in our bracket. Iran gave us all the chances by shooting terribly from the free throw line. They were outrebounded by our team by a big margin at the end of the game. Big chance for us sana to advance from our bracket since China lost to Jordan earlier. Now with Taulava injured with a severe ankle sprain Alapag with a possible sprain also although I'm hoping it was just cramps... same with Seigle who I'm also hoping suffered only from cramps.  Our tournament might just have ended before it started. I think the pressure of representing an entire country whose one passion is basketball got to the players and the coaches. The tension reflected on how they played. Tentative on their shots and turnovers from start to finish. We had very few assists because of one-on-one plays with Alapag only 2 assists the entire game. Siguro 4 or even 5 turnovers ang ratio natin to 1 assist. The coaching staff should have address these things before the game. I'll also give credit were credit is due... Raymundo for carrying us at endgame... Alapag for trying to bring us back... Taulava for the rebounds... Pennisi for playing smart and his 2 three point shots in the fourth brought us back in the game and Norwood for playing like a veteran(he is just 22 for crying out loud and he played with the most composure among the majority of his more seasoned teammates) plus his hustle and rebounds. Ever since I was a kid I've watched every team from the first PBA selection in 1990 up to the present... and I've never witness an RP squad have difficulty in scoring like we did against Iran. 36 points and only 6 or 7 field goals made(5 or 6 field goals made lang sana if hindi tayo pinabayaan ng Iran maka-score sa dying seconds ng 3rd because malaki na lamang nila) after 3 quarters of play. Parang SBP or Pasarelle iyong score natin. Tirang takot tayo and bawal ba tumira off the glass sa FIBA rules? Bakit di tayo tumira off the glass since we were shooting badly and our opponents were taller than us? I know guys offnight natin siguro kanina...  but what a time to have an offnight at the start of the tournament pa and after an opponent played badly like Iran also did tonight. Sayang talaga... I know I sound like a cynic and skepticism is all over this comment but I've tried to restrain myself from being critical of the RP5... up until this very moment. Di na mapigil... sobrang frustrating and disappointing ang pinakita nila. I will accept that they might never win this tournament... but to play this badly on the first game on a supposedly big night... on a supposedly important game... on a supposedly must-win situation since China is supposedly the other team that will advance from our bracket is unacceptable. Okay lang sana matalo if we were fighting from the start... if we went down with guns ablaze... if all the weapons in our arsenal were emptied. Ang problema di nabigyan ng magagandang attempts ang shooters natin. We had tons of rebounds but very few open shots out of set plays. To compound to our woes was the coach being called for a technical foul at the end of the game. Add to the fact that Helterbrand was called for a 5 second violation before that. Why was the smallest guy on the court inbounding the ball coming off a timeout? Why was he there in the first place when a point guard was supposed to handle the ball from an inbound play? Ang haba na nito... halatang asar na asar ako. I know may mga mag-rereact violently rito. Sensya na... gusto ko lang magbuhos ng sama ng loob. I do not think we will be able to beat both China and Jordan in our remaining games. We might beat one of them but to sweep our remaining games is highly improbable. I will fervently hope and pray that the team will prove me wrong. But malabo na ata... are we all in for another disappointment like the one in Busan?

ang taas namaan nyan. d ko na kayang basahin lasing pa ksi ako  laffman:: ang nais ko lang ipaliwanag eh si chot reyes ang natawagan ng TF(Technical Foul) kasi he keeps on shouting na traveling daw yung kalabg an... may chance pa kasi yun momentum nag shift na. pro tama wag na tayong mag sisihan. ganyan talaga yung laro may lapses, errors, inconsistency. let's hope for tomorrow's game against china to have a BIG W.I.N.  gun::  gun::  gun::  gun::  gun::  gun::
