Redwing Boots Blog, Reviews & News on Red Wing Boots and Shoes

Classic Red Wing 877 Boot
Red Wing Beckman 9011 Boot

I’ve just received an e-mail from www.onlyredwing.com, and it has made my year Classic Lifestyle white Grain Leather! They’ve finally got some Red Wing boots in stock Classic Round Toe brown Oil Leather, which is just unbelievable. Red Wing Boots have been incredibly hard to get hold of recently, but this stock includes all of the classics, Beckman, 877 & 875 Boots and Engineer…to name a few. What’s more they’re offering members a fantastic offer for this week to celebrate their new stock.

One thing that did catch my attention in the e-mail (after the new stock and discount obviously) was the mention of the history of Red Wing. They mention the fact that Red Wing’s heritage was very much focused on creating boots that were specific for various fields and but also include style within their designs. Which is obviously still the same footwear brand that we see today. I actually think it’s quite sad that not many people will even appreciate or realise the background to this brand. The Red Wing brand did actually make boots that were so specific to different jobs, e.g. the Red Wing engineer boot that was made especially for the railway engineers to protect and support their feet when they were working for many hours a day near the hot coal fires of the locomotives.  The “about” section of www.onlyredwing.com really goes to town on the history of Red Wing and is definitely worth a read if you’re interested in the history of this brand. It offers quite a poignant message that every time we Red Wing fans pull on our boots Air Jordan 2010 – Silver Anniversary Newer Images, we are pulling on a piece of history.
Now Classic Round Toe shoes, I’m off to make the most of this fantastic offer!
