Hmmmm, another case na naman dito.

 ::inposition

Bro ganito, ask mo mu siya like this:

1. Ilang days naba yan?
2. kadalasan ba after ng mens nya meron ba siya lagi ganyan?
    or first time nya.
3. Ano ang amoy?

We need to assess first, mahirap mag diagnose with out assessment first.

ok?

I'm very positive na Candidiasis yan.

Dude I know you are a RN and so I am.. it is in our responsibilty not to assume and pressume and give out diagnosis because we are professionaly not capable of doing that As a nurse it is essential to give nursing care NOT medical intervention which includes giving Diagnosis especially without actually looking at the patient (which should be properly called “client”). The best thing we should advice is to see a Gynecologist.
White discharge could be normal for some women this is the discharge sometimes use to determine the fertility of a woman. If a foul smelling discharge comes out this is uncommon you should see a gyne.

Well you're right. Kaya tinanong ko kung kumakati, if so, candidiasis nga yun. Anyway, there's no harm in taking a single dose of fluconazole. That's why I was assertive on giving out the medical intervention.

Prevention is better than cure. Kaya agapan niyo ng lunas. ^_^

by the way, tama si mod. alternative treatment muna like proper hygiene ang gawin nyo. some cases of candidiasis eventually go away with proper management. pero worse comes to worse, yun na sinabi ko.

In some cases, pinapabayaan lang eto at walang bunubigay na gamot kasi after the period mawawala rin. Normal flora kasi yung candida na fungi. Fluconazole is also an over the counter drug like acetaminophen and can be given without prescription by an M.D. But proper relay of information is also needed. Although we are still accountable if may mangyari sa patient, but assessment and telling the patient to read the drug literature is also important.

Ang package rin kasi ng fluconazole 150mg is 1tab 1box. kaya assured na merong drug literature if bibili yung tao na yun. and meron rin kasi short cut version sa box mismo para sa mga tamad magbasa.

hindi natin sakop ang pagbibigay ng diagnosis that is malpractice especially kung hindi natin nakikita ang patient

you have  a hunch na possible na candidiasis siya pero it is better na magpatingin siya sa doktor

hindi natin alam kung ano yun

Trichomonas ba yan
candidiasis
baka normal lang pala yan
baka tamod niya
baka cervicitis
or vaginitis

Okay lang na tumulong pero sundin natin yung code of ethics as a nurse

We can only give an advice pero hindi tayo ang magbibigay kung anong iinuming gamot

it is beter na OB-GYN sila pumunta para makasigurado

sabi nga "if symptoms persist consult a doctor" hindi naman sinabi na "if symptoms persist consult a nurse"

kaya to be safe consult a doctor anyway wala namang masama kung mag pa consult ka eh
