Topic: Final Fantasy 8 Emulator Problem

I don't know which one has a problem: is it the emulator or the ROM I downloaded. I tried playing Final Fantasy 8 using the ePSXe emulator. But during battle mode, hindi nakikita yung names ng character, and yung gauge. Ano kailangan kong gawin to fix this? Help mga ka.spies

Gumagana naman sa akin. I-set mo sa 'nice' yung settings, siguro kasi yung settings na sinabi sa internet para mapaganda yung graphics ay hindi compatible sa FF8, kailangan nito ng default settings.

I'm kinda noob when it comes to emulators and roms. San ko pwede madownload yan both so I can play din? And paki include nadin yung Suikoden 1 and 2 hehehe. Thanks!

are you using the PSX version? meron siyang pc version. yun ang nilaro ko dati. the graphics should be better compared to the PSX version

not sure kung ano ang differenc between pc and psx versions. smooth naman paglaro ko dati, gamit ko yung cdr king na gamepad

as for your problem, its probably some settings in the emulator. any other problems you encountered?

Ano ginagamit mong graphics plugin? Luma to sakin kasi 1.7.1 pa version ang emulator ko peru working padin sa akin btw 1.9.1 na yung bagong version.

Di ko alam kung pano i.set ng ganyan Sir. But, as far as I know, default lang tong settings nga emulator ko ngayon kc ndi ko naman xa ginalaw. Ever since I downloaded it and got it running, kung ano yung settings nun, yun lang talaga.

PSX Sir. Emulator lang po gamit ko, like I said. D ko kc alam kung san makadownload ng PC version. Other problems encountered...ehhh, sometimes naglalag xa. Like during the cinematics, nag1-second hang, tas ok na after. Baka nagload lang ng video...or something

Pwede yan kalikutin mo nlng yung mga settings diyan, trial and error naman yan at kung ang settings mo maganda like example sa FF7 ibahin mo naman isa ibang games like FF8, legend of dragoon etc... plus check mo yung game fixes marami pang options diyan.

Thanks talaga sa tulong mo Sir. Nakikita ko na ang names ng mga characters and yung mga options during battle. May konting "pero" lang. May mga parts na black lang talaga like when nagro-roam yung character mo sa mga forest, nagiging black yung dagat. And pag nagload during battle, instead na white fading streaks ang makikita mo, black na. Hehehe pero, other than that, ok na ok. Atleast nakikita ko yung battle controls Thanks ulit sa tulong mo Sir

This fan-made upgrade to FF8 for the PC was on this site before, but taken down due to improper compression.  I was able to snag a copy before it was deleted, and after verifying how badass it is, I'm uploading it for you all following the site's guidelines.

Features:
• Full install 2.2 GB, DVD not needed.
• Half automated CD-swap-emulator via hot-key.
• Supports XP / Vista / Win7 - 32/64.
• Supports ALL types of TFT displays, including native wide screen.
• AA support.
• Character Editor (also accessible via hot-key).
• HQ-PDF Manual.
• HQ-PDF Strategy Guide.

Ingame hot-keys
• CTRL ALT 1 = on the fly CD1 emulating.
• CTRL ALT 2 = on the fly CD2 emulating.
• CTRL ALT 3 = on the fly CD3 emulating.
• CTRL ALT 4 = on the fly CD4 emulating.
• CTRL ALT C = calls the Character Editor, FF8 minimizes.

• New Config - The only time you really need to use the game's built in config is to set up your controls.  There is a new config accessed via ff8_launcher.exe that allows for higher screen resolutions that match most modern computers.  I was able to play this on my laptop at 1280 x 800, and it looked beautiful (better than the PSX version does on my TV) and ran without any troubles.
