Famed race car driver Tony Stewart hit fellow driver Kevin Ward, Jr. at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night. The sprint car accident occurred after Ward, angry with Stewart for putting him into a wall, got out of his car and tried to confront Stewart on the track. Stewart hit Ward, sending him flying and leaving him motionless on the ground. Reports are still coming in about Ward's condition. UPDATE: Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero has confirmed that Kevin Ward Jr. has died.

Hours after saying â€œbusiness as usualâ€ following the death of Kevin Ward, Jr., Tony Stewart and his team have changed course and will not race in todayâ€™s event at Watkins Glen. Regan Smith will take Stewartâ€™s place as a result.
