I was grade 2 ata nuon. Nasa school ako. Panghapon ako nuon eh. Around 3 or 4 pm ata yun when it hit. I was walking on a concrete path sa school grounds and i was thinking anu yung pagyanig na yun. I kept wondering why (since in my mind i was walking straight) i kept stepping outside of the concrete path and onto the grass. Naka ilang tumba din ako nun, di ko alam nangyayari. Saka ko lang naisip na lumilindol na pala nung nakita ko lolo ko tumatakbo papunta sakin. Up to that moment di ko talaga alam kung anu nangyayari.

never have i forgotten this one.. i still remember that even visayas was rocked by this earthquake.. around intensity 4 i think in iloilo.. i was actually getting a bath in the rain then.. after that we watched the TV.. we saw a lot of building in baguio destroyed...

may all the souls of those who died on this tragedy rest in peace..  :'(

i was 4 yrs old that time..ang natatandaan ko that time yung sto. nino ko nahulog sa altar nmn..iyak ko ng iyak kc di ko lam kung anu nngyayari.. RIP sa mga tao na nawala sa araw na yun..

Naalala ko pa itong pangyayaring ito. Kagagaling ko ng school, maaga kami pinapauwi kasi day light saving time. Umiinom ako sa poso then akala ko nahihilo lang ako pero lumilindol pala. Takbo kami ng kapatid ko palabas ng bahay at muntik ko pang mabangga ang pader dahil sa lakas ng lindol. Humawak kami sa poste ng mga kapatid ko at ibang tao. Yung tita ko nasa gitna ng kalsada sumisigaw na nagdadasal at umiiyak. May mga pinsan pa ako na nasa Baguio that time. Buti nakauwi sila ng safe. Hirap makatulog sa gabi kasi kahit na after shock e malakas parin. Naalala ko pa, may mga Jehova's Witness na nagsasign of the cross that time.  ::flowers ::flowers ::flowers

Kami din maaga pinauwi from school dati, tapos abang ng Ang Tv yata yun.. Kaso maya maya yung TV umaalog na tsk! I can't forget malakas na ang lindol binalikan kupa yung TV para iswitch Off sabay labas ng bahay at dumapa sa may rest house.. Before there was a story sa may palengke daw ng Baguio may isang matanda paikot ikot sa palengke at nagsasabi siya about sa sakunang ito na mangyayari kaso hindi siya pinapansin the following day din or sa mismong araw na yun nangyari ang sinasabi nung matanda.

You could just imagine if this happens today, with all those condo's / high rise buildings specially here in Manila.  :(

isa sa mga memories ko nung bata pa ako :)... kinder 2 ako nuon, pina uwi kami ng maaga, kasama ko lola ko pauwi, di kopa na intindihan ano nangyayari..kita ko nlng nag cra crack na ang kalsada...sa pasay pala yun na school.. right after lumipat na kami sa cebu for good :) Cebuano na ako :D

I can still recall up to now mga past 2:30 i think ng hapon..

after school then yung maid ng neighbor namin sumigaw na lang bigla then lumabas kami ng bahay, ang lakas!

first time ko na experience yun nasa gitna kami ng daan and nakakahilo yung tipong utak mo kumakalog din tapos hinde ka makatayo or makalakad ng diretso, hinde ko makalimutan pati na yung mga aso sa area namin lahat sila tahol ng tahol as if in distress and takot din!

then yung ugong ng lindol noticeable talaga similar to hundreds of drum barrels rolling

ewan ko lang ngayun sa mga nag labasan na mga hi rise condominiums sa metro manila, there is no such thing as indestructible against nature ang tataas pa naman, nakakatakot..
