Before, I also do not have any sympathy for Ms. Grace but when I watched that show on TV where the candidates would need to answer certain questions under a very strict time constraints and Ms. Grace was able to expound on her ideas very clearly under the time limit with still plenty of time left for her, I knew that this was a fast thinking girl who can really convey her ideas to the people. She was just under rated. Later, I found out she has a bachelor's degree at UP Manila which made me admire her more. I guess the plethora of votes were more of sympathy votes for her late father who was the clear winner in the 2004 elections.
I can not understand guys and gals who would still root for Hagedorn who people in Palawan tag as the real mastermind in the Doc Ortega situation and a beneficiary of those billions lost yearly in the Malampaya Oil Field. A guy may have the best legal education but when one is a wife-beater or can not even fix his own family, how can he ever fix the problems of the nation? Or how can a girl who is legally married to a Sarangaya be able to marry again a Leviste when there is no divorce in the Philippines? If someone can even fool her husband, what will stop her from fooling the people? In the first place, how can anyone buy a house at Forbes Park with a senatorial salary? Yet, people voted a Ms.Loren Sarangaya or Mr. Cuckold or Mr. Queso to the Senate?
