Romantic correct me if I’m wrong, but is that a story of a Guy (Orpheus) who love his wife so much that he played a Lyre yata or a piano or a electric guitar during their wedding day, and he played a song to put Cerebus to sleep, NamaTay yata yung wife niya then he fetch her in the under world.. Romantic but tragic!

Ako I prefer yung the epic poemj of Iliad and Odyssey, because naka focus sa Trojan war!
I find it nice kasi  habang nasa ibang bayan siya naki pag away pinag aagawan naman yung chick niya!!
Hahaha kawawang sundalo!!

Sir Mod, may mali po dun. Namatay si Eurydice dahil natuklaw siya ng ahas habang tinatakasan niya yung lalaking nagpapansin sa kanya. pumunta si Orpheus sa Underworld para makiusap na ibalik sa kanya si Eurydice. tinugtugan nya sila hades at persephone ng lyre and it was said that fot the first time Hades'(or pesephone, can't remember) cheeks were wet with tears. Binalik kay Orpheus si Persephone on one condition, hindi niya titignan si persephone hangga't di sila nakakalabas ng underworld. you know the rest naman.

Kaya ko po nasabi na romantic to kasi pinakita dito in what lengths Orpheus is willing to go for his beloved eurydice. Kahit nakakahiya pong aminin pinangarap ko rin noong makaranas ng ganun, yung tipong feeling mo kaya mong gawin lahat para sa minamahal mo. yun po ang dahila kung bakit ko nasabi un

1.  iliad and odyssey... trojan war and the journey of oddyseus...
2.  the argonauts... jason in search of the golden fleece...
3.  labors of hercules... 12 tasks to be accomplished to appease the guilt hercules committed.
4.  Gods/Goddesses on how they came to be... Cronus afraid that a child of his would overthrow him ate them all except for zeus whom his wife Rhea hid had grown up and liberated his siblings from Cronus.

Nawili ako dito nung high school ako kasi may nakita akong book ni Bulfinch about sa greek mythology.

Nakakamangha din nga yung trojan war kasi if you really think about it nagsimula ang trojan war dahil lang sa isang beauty contest between the Goddesses Hera, Aphrodite, and Venus.

Actually, I was rooting for Hector during his battle with Achilles kasi in my opinion he is the more honorable of the two and the fact that he was the underdog(Achilles is ALMOST invulnerable right). Kaso talo pa rin siya(Just like Randy Couture in his match with Brock Lesnar).

O.T.
For Sir Mod, I know that you'll find some similarities between Achilles and Brock(Think about the way achilles was killed and how Brock was defeated by Frank Mir).  ;D ;D ;D

been a fan of greek mythology since the day i found out that i was named after one.  ;D

I love the story of Oedipus Rex. Kahit anong iwas niya sa kanyang destiny wala parin siyang magagawa.

I forgot the story na pumunta sa underworld ung lalake to get his wife but he must not look back on the way back  ;D
