Topic: GRAFFITI ART O VANDALISM?

mga bro napanood ko kanina sa correspondents about sa pinoy graffiti. sa mga di nakaka alam ano ang graffiti it is the name for images or lettering scratched, scrawled, or more usually spray-painted on property. eto sample ano tingin nyo mga tol dito art o vandalism?

di sya vandal kung pumayag ang may-ari ng wall. pero kahit gano ka-artistic ng pagkagawa basta weird yung mga characters etc, ang dumi pa rin nya tingnan...for me ah. siguro may tamang lugar para sa mga graffiti. mas maganda tingnan yung mga drawing with normal fonts. mas legal tingnan.

ito lang masasabi ko diyan...like a lot of things in this world, this is also relative to the one who sees it. I don't think there is just one definite answer to this. However, collectively, a lot may see this as vandalism. The majority might see it as vandalism. Therefore, once again, as society dictates, this is vandalism (given that it is made on someone else's property as dirty sanchez have pointed out) Then again it is worth pointing out that a person's art is vandalism to another, and vice-versa.

Dami ko nakitang ganyan sa New Jersey and Philadelphia. Madaming magandang vandalism dun pero hindi nila tinatanggal, maganda kasi. Buti nga ganyan yun ginawa nila hindi kagaya dito sa atin na talagang vandalism.

VANDALISM means to destroy property...kung ang isang graffiti hindi nakakasira sa property ng isang tao, then it may be an art..

Dito kasi hindi grafitti ang gingawa as in vandalism tlga.. dito klang makakakita ng may drawing ng etits sa pader at pumunta ka sa kahit saan mall or school at tignan mo ang banyo.. hindi yun normal na banyo kung walang drawing na etits isa pa nagvavandal din ng pangalan ng fraternity nila na bahuin nmn (no offense sa mga frat). kung ganito ang magging design ng mga pader dito parang mas OK para sakin..

It is vandalism if it is done in someone else's property without their consent. If you want to do art then paint it in a canvas.

ok lang yong graffiti mga bro basta na sa tamang lugar kakainis lang yong mga bomber. kong maganda maganda ang style nong art. kaso sinisira lang nong mga  gun::bomber.

If it's purpose is to entartain or to show you're passion, and creativity then it is an art in a form of vandalism..(di nmn kase kanila yung pader), pero kung ang silbi nito eh sign of a gang or turf, kumbaga ginagawa nilang territorial,(pag andun sign nila, teritoryo nila yun kahit hindi) eh purely vandalism lang!

magkaibang kaso kasi yan eh, yung iba they do graffiti to show their craft or to tell something to the people or government, yung iba nman ginagamit lang nila na clan turf sign, kumbaga wall nung gang nila, ibig sabihin teritoryo nila..

kung ok lang sa may-ari ng wall na kung saan nakalagay yung graffiti, na merong graffiti dun, or kung merong consent yung graffiti artist eh art siya (yun eh kung yung mga graffiti eh artistic ang pagkakagawa, di katulad nung mga etits etc. )

kung di naman ok sa nagmamay-ari nung wall na kung saan nakalagay yung graffiti, or alang consent yung graffiti artist, eh vandalism talaga siya kahit gaano kaganda pa nung design nya...

pag may permission ang may ari...hindi cia matatawag na vandalism but without permission...kahit gaano pa kaganda ang ginawa nila, vandalism yan...

Art is a form of expression and creativity whether legal or not if it does serve the purpose, it is still Art..

IMHO. me connection po, dahil ang topic eh graffiti art or vandalism... ang pagkakaintindi ko sa topic eh me issues ng legality ng graffiti dito. pero kung ang topic is graffiti artistic or not artistic, then agree ako 100% na art nga siya...

Graffiti means many things for different people. Some people associate graffiti with vandalism and the destruction of property. Others see graffiti as art. Currently, the word ‘graffiti’ is used to describe everything from scribbles on bathroom walls and scratched names on bus windows to gang tags and graffiti-influenced paint on canvas. For me as an architecture student. Pag maganda sa paningin ko and very appreciative naman ito, i call it art.
