kano budget mo? alam kong top-class all-purpose na non-gaming e yung Logitech na darkfield (Mx anywhere, Mx master), yung master ang gamit ko and it is a worthy investment. All surfaces din yan at adjustable DPI. Although mas mababa ang DPI. konting extra buttons at hindi hard click unlike most gaming mice.

May 2 types - soft-click at hard-click, mostly pang gaming yung pangalawa a-la mechanical KBs, tas madami ding programmable buttons.

darkfield is just a term logitech uses to differentiate its new gen laser optical mouse. for other brands, they will use another name for it, its just basically still just laser optics, but it improves on the flaws, specifically yung hindi mo magamit pag glass or anything shiny surface. I guess the general term would be glass laser (mouse that can also be used on glass surface)

so pag nagsearch ka darkfield, logitech lang talaga lalabas na result since other brands dont use the term

so balik parin sa tanong, magkano budget

can't help noticing the question on "what's the budget?"... is this expensive?

Nasa 4.5k ang mx master, yung pang gaming depende pa sa features around 3-15k siguro or more

the color of the light has nothing to do with it. be it red, blue, green, or whatever color, its just LED. usually pag walang color, its laser. its just some finer details that differentiate them. like yung sa logitech nga, those that work on glass surface, they call it darkfield.

Quote
The difference is just the sensor type. A manufacturer may build any mouse they want around either sensor type.

Laser mice likely use a laser diode as the light source while optical mice usually use a regular light emitting diode, sometimes near infrared.

Laser mice may have a higher DPI, which translates to tracking smaller features or faster cursor movement rates. This has more to do with the way the information is being processed than the light source being used, so optical mice can have high DPI, it's just not the same selling point.

Ultimately, whether the mouse uses a laser or just plain old optical is irrelevant, as that's not all there is to it. Take Microsoft's Bluetrack mice for example. Optical, but tracks better on most surfaces than even my Logitech laser mouse.

bottomline, choose the one that fits your budget and suits your needs. in your case, since gusto mo it will work on glass, then you will have to get the glass laser type. take note, hindi lang logitech ang merong ganun. other companies just use a different term for it (i.e. I used a razer before and the mousepad I use is glass though its designed as mousepad, meaning frosted ang baba hindi clear)

also kaya tinanong ang budget kasi hindi mura yung logitech MX series (those that use darkfield), the cheapest is around 60+ USD that converts to 3k php (or more depending on the shop), and for a mouse, nasa high end na yang presyo na yan hindi na yan mid range

PS

Uh, di ba mas economical pa nga yun? Saka 1 charge = 1 week ata na moderate use. Accessible din yung battery actually, kasama sa manual yung dismantling.

wow... you must be one serious gamer to buy a mouse that will cost you more than 5k.... anyway, i'm also interested with the mouse that can be used on glass surfaces... hope it won't be that expensive...
