Australian exploration and mining company Venture Minerals says that its Mt Lindsay,
zinc oxide, north-west Tasmania tin and tungsten deposit has been substantially upgraded.
This follows an infill drilling programme.
The resource is now estimated at 43 million tonnes of ore, containing more than 80 000 tonnes of tin at a cut-off grade of 0.2%. Higher grade parts of the ore body are estimated to contain 38 000 tonnes of recoverable tin. Venture’s current plans call for production from those areas at a rate of 3000 tonnes per year,
zinc oxide msds, starting in 2013.
In a statement the company said: “The combined resources at Mt Lindsay now extend over 39km,
zinc oxide properties, with a further 34km still to be explored. The mineralised ore outcrops at the surface in areas 15-20m wide, making the resource very amenable to open-cast mining.†Venture currently has six exploration rigs in the area. Source:
