Please find below details.
1. How you can participate in the shoe design competition
1. You may design for all categories or choose a category.
2. Please find below the following categories:
CLASSIC: The rebirth of a classic design that never goes out of style. Classic refers to shoe designs that must adhere to traditional function & production principle and, must have popular appeal & marketability
CLASSIC Trendy: Footwear design that is in accordance with the latest global footwear industry for the Spring & Summer 2009
CLASSIC Casual: Footwear of light construction, suitable for casual wear, which is easy to slip on without any fastening device.
CLASSIC Formal: Footwear that is suitable for formal social events, such as weddings, debuts, and other formal occasions.
CLASSIC Children: Footwear designed for infants until age 12.
FILIPINIANA:National Pride at its finest using indigenous design/natural material
Footwear is an expression of Filipino pride with the use of indigenous material & design.
AVANT-GARDE. Out of the Box Interpretation of Comfort & Style
Footwear Design that is experimental or innovative, Avant-garde represents pushing the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm or the status quo in the footwear industry taking in consideration comfort & style.
POP: People's Shoe: Create & Design the next big thing.
Pop is an innovation or footwear design that appeals to all masses, sizes, & genders, which will become the next big thing in the global footwear industry.
3. You may fill-up application form per design.
4. Accomplish form completely and submit design (top, side and front views of shoe designs) mounted on an A3 sized illustration board.
5. You may drop accomplished form and A3 sized illustration board at the following stores. (PLEASE FIND ATTACHED List of Stores)
2. Criteria For Judging
35 % - Innovation & Creativity
20 % - Practicality & Functionality
20 % - Material Selection
20 % - Aesthetic & Popular Appeal
5 % - Safety
100 %
3. Prizes
o Seven finalist – P10,000 per finalist
o First prize= Additional P30, 000.00, trophy, round-trip ticket to China and hotel accommodation.
o Second prize = Additional P20,000.00, trophy
o Third prize = Additional P15,000.00, trophy
* All winners will get a chance to visit a shoe factory at Marikina and have a chance to have their shoe design PRODUCED by a shoe company who is a member of PFFI .
