The Decca sessions were recorded on 1 January 1962 in West Hampstead where The Beatles auditioned with original Drummer, Pete Best.
The 1979 release seems to have come from a tape gifted to a third party in the 1960s by Brian Epstein.
The Beatles have owned the tape since the 1980s and took legal action confirming that they owned the copyright in 1989.
