"Over Range"
« on: April 03, 2007, 05:01:49 am »
Guys,
just need some verification.

i just reformatted my Pc, and after installing Windows Xp, i recieved an error on my monitor saying it's over range. the screen is like when your having a bad signal, i have diagonal lines on it. my video adapter is built-in and i'm thinking that's the problem. is it? should i get a new video card or a new MoBo?

thanks.

na install mo na ba yung drivers ng onboard video mo bro? another way pasok ka ng safe mode tapos palitan mo lang yung refresh rate nya try mo muna yung lowest then restart ka ulit... try lng baka gumana...

ganito try mo buddy... kc ang problem dyan is monitor mo... myb it doesnt support the set default resulotion and refresh rate which is 800x600 @60hz ng XP.. ganito goto Windows Advance Setup their are choices in this Window select Enable VGA Mode. yan if d mo alam kung panu pumasok sa Windows Advance Setup sa boot screen ng BIOS mo press F8 simultaniously. If it doesnt work, if you have friends nearby who does have a unit try and test it into their monitors. If it works try to lower your resulotion less than 800x600... if it doesnt work try to buy a Video Card.

thanks alot for the info guys, i'll try that. i tried installing an older version of the xp and checked the resolution of the monitor itself and it's only 600x480, tried changing the screen resolution of the monitor but there's no option for that. i'll check those options that you gave me and also try changing monitors.

i want to give you guys pokepoints. can i do that? how?

thanks alot for the help. psrulez:: psrulez::
