from the steps it looks like its a custom firmware update, so no hacking there. its just a firmware update. seems to be missing a few steps though, first off, for you to be able to communicate with the router, you have to be on the same subnet (i.e. kung nasa 192.168.1.1 ang router, you have to be in 192.168.1.xxx). otherwise the data you send will never reach the router
if the router has DHCP enabled this should be done automatically though. but since we are talking about a firmware update, it would be better to input the IP addresses manually
