nakakatawa sila until it happens and they survive we are a victim of our confidence. Ako l keep an open mind si Moses nakakatawa din noon pinagbabato pa nga until it happens.

Ako family ko wala preparation pero we don't laugh at people's paranoia because the only thing that is permanent is change.

I'm not sure kung may torrent ito.

Ang nagustuhan ko dito yung nasa farm, wala man mangyaring end of days catastrophe ay self sufficient yung lugar nya, may manok, baka, garden, tubig, wood for fuel at iba pang basic necessities. Yung mga pang luho na lang nila ang kelangan nilang bilihin at pagkagastusan.

Most of the pinoys na taga probinsya(tabing dagat/bukid) ay self sufficient na talaga sila, they are able to live off their lands since hindi naman sila kahit kelan naging dependent sa electricity(sabi na nga ba't in a screwed up way ay advantage din yung pagiging slow ng pamahalaan to provide electricity to our rural areas  ;D ).

Ang nagustuhan ko dito yung nasa farm, wala man mangyaring end of days catastrophe ay self sufficient yung lugar nya, may manok, baka, garden, tubig, wood for fuel at iba pang basic necessities. Yung mga pang luho na lang nila ang kelangan nilang bilihin at pagkagastusan.

Most of the pinoys na taga probinsya(tabing dagat/bukid) ay self sufficient na talaga sila, they are able to live off their lands since hindi naman sila kahit kelan naging dependent sa electricity(sabi na nga ba't in a screwed up way ay advantage din yung pagiging slow ng pamahalaan to provide electricity to our rural areas  ;D ).

On the one hand, some of the Espiyas are right: an event of a cataclysmic magnitude (like, say, a nuclear strike or a meteor impact) would wipe out the livestock and crops that make the people featured in the programme self-sufficient. And even if their shelter were constructed to withstand total destruction, the environmental changes would make it difficult to obtain any additional supplies.

On the other hand, being self-sufficient when it comes to food production is a good thing. It minimizes ecological damage
(if the farm uses renewable and sustainable resources), helps maintain the health of the farm's occupants (exercise through labor and proper nutrition since they know what they're eating), and reduces expenses (as Seigneur Pspyrock said, they only have to buy what they can't provide for themselves).

Permit me to go off-topic (or perhaps not entirely off-topic since Seigneur Pspyrock brought it up himself in his closing statement) by saying that these are some of the reasons why I supported the person I chose as my candidate during the last presidential elections (even if he didn't win). Filipinos in rural areas would indeed be lucky if they could still live off the land and maintain a minimal dependence on outside sources for their needs. Unfortunately, most of the land that can still provide for their needs no longer belongs to them. A priest I know put it this way: "In Mindanao and in the Visayas, the people who own the best lands don't even live there. They live in Metro Manila behind gated residences."
