A mysterious lysfenomen the sky shocked residents in northern Norway on Wednesday morning. Norwegian Meteorological Institute is experiencing telephone storm.

More confused callers told VG Nett that they have never seen anything like it.

Norwegian Meteorological Institute has received calls from people who have seen the mysterious giant spiral Trøndelag to Finnmark.

People from Finnmark in the far north to south in Trøndelag call and say they have seen the light, "said Mona Mariann Lie at the meteorological department to VG Nett.

Russia said it was one of their missiles malfunctioning over Norwegian airspace but I've never heard of a missile that can produce a spiral explosion pattern.
