Ganda ba ang Macbook/Pro?

kase balak ko bumili laptop, kaya lang kakatamad na kase ang mga OS ng windows kaya nagustuhan ko ang Mac kaya lang may pagka expensive mga lappies nila.. worth it ba naman ba kahet na mahal??? anu ba reasons kaya maganda sila kahet na di ganun kaganda ang specs (ex: core2duo 2.0Ghz na specs ng macbook for 60k?)... enlighten me please Mac Users:-)

yup..ok to..ganito kailangan namin sa production..audio/video editing..may kasamang software na kasi to.. pwede pa third-party interface like SDI..

kung editing, basta compatible sya sa requirements ng Final Cut Pro, malamang oo..

pero recommended talaga sa Pro yun ehh..

syempre maganda mac,hindi naman ganun kamahal ang mac ngaun basta magaling ka lang mag hanap, i bought my mac from an authorized reseller but he doesnt have a store kaya mura lang kuha ko.

A MacBook/Pro is one of those things where you get your money's worth...

but it's really expensive and this is my little price comparison....

take note...I was going to buy a 15" Macbook Pro, January last year for myself and give my old HP Compaq Presario V5000 to my wife as she needs a laptop. I was decided. However there were other needs during that time that arose. We needed a portable A/C for the summer since my wife was pregnant that time and we don't want to turn on the central A/C as there is no need to cool the entire house for one person. I was wanting an Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 MACRO for the longest time for my photography as well to start exploring the world of macro-photography. And my wife still needs a laptop for work (she's a newspaper editor). So we weighed everything and here is what happened:

15" MacBook Pro - $2,700 (rounded-up including tax)

VS.

HP pavilion DV2742SE ( 14.1", 1.6GHz, Core 2 Duo, Intel Centrino Chip set, 3GB RAM) - $1,600 (rounded-up including tax)
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 MACRO - $540 (rounded-up including tax)
Haier Portable A/C - $325 (rounded-up including tax)

TOTAL: $2,465

So as illustrated, for the one MacBook Pro, I was able to buy three things that I actually need...it's really expensive...if you have the money then go for it as Mac's are proven far superior in stability compared to PC's as you already mentioned. The specs might lie to you a bit because from experience, (and more in-depth mac users can correct me here) with the same specs it out-performs it's PC counterparts. Here are three adjectives that I have for Mac in comparison to a PC "Faster, More Reliable, and Out-performs."

So if you have the money go for it, but if you don't, do not force it. For basic computing needs on a daily basis, a PC is not that bad...it's just that the Mac is better.... toast::

@carlocarr - I'm a mac user since 1998. and maraming mac units na ang nagdaan sa kamay ko. I'm using right now a mac pro desktop Quad-Core 2.66 Ghz Intel Xeon. And I have a macbook pro for my mobile, although sinq naman sila using my "mobile me" it's a fun and worth it way to use these gadgets for photo, music, and video editing.

my wife is owns a macbook entry level. she's into photography right now, and I don't see any problems with the editing and manipulating of of stuff through videos and photos.

if you go mac you'll never look back.

Pre pa OT diba ung leopard ung pwedeng dual OS tapos naka minimize lang ung sa windows? Sabe nila may mga problema daw pag ganun deh. Mas maganda daw kung mag rereboot ka pah kung lilipat ka from mac to windows?
