Dashboard notifications

Mga brader patulong naman kung sino may alam regarding my problem.
I have this Toyota Altis 2006, and everytime na I turn the car on (without cranking yet) eto nakikita kong notifications sa dashboard.



From top to bottom.
1. Alam ko ito yung indicator na pag naka engage yung handbrake ko.
2. (yellow icon) Eto concerned ako kasi hindi ko alam anong problema.
3. (battery icon) Eto rin di ko alam bakit may ganito eh kakabili ko lang ng brandnew battery.

Eto naging issues ko, nagpagasolina ako tapos siyempre I turned the engine off. Pagkatapos ng pag fill ayaw ng umandar yung tsikot. Duda ako dun sa battery kasi yung dating battery mag 5 years na. So tumawag ako ng backup at ginawan ng series at yun umandar na, so nag conclude na yung mekaniko na battery nga. Then bumili na ako ng bagong battery meron pa din yung battery icon at yellow icon. Before pa kinabit yung bagong battery meron na yung problema ko dun sa yellow icon at battery icon pati na rin sa hard starting (which duda ko na rin sa battery yung problema). But ngayong may bagong battery ng kinabit andun parin yung icons at hard starting. Malutong naman yung cranking niya di tulad ng dati na umaabot ng tatlong mahihinang cranks, ngayon ay at most nakaka dalawag crank na malutong na lang.

Kaka 100k maintenance ko na rin sa casa pero di rin nila na resolve yung cranking issue at dashboard notifications.

paps sana pinacheck mo na din yung alternator mo tska ung belt baka maluwag na.. baka hindi na nagkakarga ung battery mo.

Nung pina lagay ko yung battery sinabihan ko na icheck na rin yung alternator sabi nung naglagay ok naman daw. Pero I will get a second opinion na lang para makasigurado.

best way to check if ok pa alternator is, habang naka idle ang makina, tanggalin mo ang positive terminal ng battery, pag namatay makina, that means may problem sa alternator.. nangyari na yan sakin, biglang umilaw lahat na ilaw sa dashboard at hindi na nag off, i kept on driving para makauwi na ako sa bahay para hindi ako itirik kung saan, hanggang sa hindi na gumagana yung speedometer, humina horn, pag bumusina ako namamatay yung radio.. kasi pala ubos na yung karga ng battery, and hindi sya na rerecharge ng alternator..

well, i could be wrong..

Thanks for the tip sir, I will try that out.

Sa akin naman is pag naka start na yung makina wala na lahat yung notifications.. Does the notifications normally work that way?

oh,, now that you said it..

ganito ba nangyayari? insert key, turn to ON position, iilaw lahat na binanggit mo, then turn to START position, dito mag sstart yung car, then automatic babalik sa ON position yung key, then mamamatay yung notification? if ganyan na ganyan nangyayari, i regret to inform you bro. wala ka dapat ika bahala kasi normal yan. hehehehe ::pampam

NAKAKAPANGHINAYANG! hahaha! wala naman pala akong dapa problemahin. maraming salamat bro... Although I still have to check the alternator or something kasi meron parin yung hard starting minsan, or baka lang di pa kumakarga yung alternator kasi bago pa yung battery.

sir regarding sa hard starting, pa buksan mo na ang starter motor mo,pwedeng upod na ang carbon brush nun o kaya masama na ang solenoid kaya hirap i crank ang engine.... ;)

bradier, pag na pa andar mo na ba ang kotse mo, present pa ba ito? kasi normally iilaw naman tlga to once you insert key and turn on..then pag start mo na ng engine, nawawala nalng ito

Nawawala din brad pag start na ng engine. Yun din sabi ng isa nating kapatid ok lang daw yun. Naparanoid lang ako. hehehe!

i think the check engine light is normal, it should disappear after 2-3seconds of putting the key to ON. The battery, you better have your sensors checked. Just hope and pray that it's not your computer box

no problem sir. ipa check mo rin kung tama ang voltage na ikinakarga ng alternator. dapat nasa range ng 13.5 volts to 15 volts yan. check mo rin belt ng alternator and yung battery terminals, baka corroded na.

UPDATE:
Napa check ko na sa casa ang nakitang problema nila is yung O-ring lang ang cause ng hard starting.

normal yan brad nawawala yan upon start. sa Honda di mo masstart oto pag nakailaw kaya dapat 3-5 seconds mawawala dapat yan. if hard starting, first check mo yung terminal ng battery mo baka maluwag, then starter, then alternator baka hindi nagkakarga. pero O-ring??? anyway magkano O-ring sa casa? haha mura lang kasi yan bro sa mga auto supply lol.

pag na start na wala na yung mga ilaw na yan bro. Nakapag palit na ako ng bagong battery at na check na rin yung alternator kumakarga naman daw ng maayos. Buti nga O-ring lang yung problema hahaha! First sinabi sa casa na buong fuel assembly (P2,900+) ang bilhin pero tumawag ulit at sinabi na O-ring nalang daw talaga yung bibilhin dahil yun lang talaga ang may sira at di sila sure kung kasama na ang O-ring sa fuel assembly nila. Wala rin silang O-ring na binebenta sa casa kaya purchaser pa nila ang bibili sa labas.

UPDATE:
Haaay disappointed ako dito sa Casa ng Toyota. O-ring man lang wala silang available na ganung parts, kelangan ko pa bumili ng buong fuel assembly at hindi pa sila sure kung kasama na dun ang O-ring.

I'd go to that place if dyan ang lugar ko kaso nasa Davao ako eh.

Pinull-out ko na yung unit ko sa casa kasi nung binilhan ko mismo ng o-ring kinabukasan eh may nakitang problema naman daw at binigyan ako ng listahan ng apat na parts worth 25-30k. So duda na ako dun kung alam ba talaga ng technician yung problema or naghahanap lang siya ng tsamba.

Plano ko ngayon ipapasok ko nalang sa mga trusted na mekaniko. Kaya kung sino man taga Davao dito na espiya san ba marerecommend niyo?
