Could someone give me a short background sa ps3? Is it worth the price? I wanted to play Tekken, MGS:4, and the like e. I don't like xbox360 kasi ever since PlayStation nako e. So there is no issue about regioning kung games lang naman pag uusapan di ba? What if Bayantel ISP ko, okay lang ba mag online via PS3?

yes sir, worth it to. about sa isp mo, ala nmn problema as long na stable yung connection nyo... maganda kc sa ps3 is hindi lng tlaga sya gaming console.. ginagamit ko din tong tambakan ng mga divx movies na DL ko... or kung ayaw mung gamitin yung storage nya, may media sharing din to... pero put it in your mind na wlang pirata dito, kaya most games ay mahal talga from 2400-2800. unlike sa 360, 500 pesos per 3 games... lol  tas ang pinaka OK sa ps3 is FREE ang online. pag ang tv nyo ay yung normal lng, ok din pero pag HDTV mas ok...

Ouch, maganda nga daw ang Killzone 2 kaso baka mag-pass ako dito. I never had a liking for FPS games, ewan ko ba, kahit CS nun di ko na-typan hehehe. Suprising though, I tried playing F.E.A.R. 2 demo, nagustuhan ko siya, baka ito pa lang yung unang FPS game na bibilhin ko, creepy kasi, fan pa naman ako ng survival horror games.

sana parang magkaron ng firmware update na makaplay na ng mkv file yung ps3. para ps3 nalang bibilhin ko instead of an nmt :D

Ang ganda ng demo ng RE5 sa PS3... sure buy na  ito sa akin... LE pa bibilhin ko hehe..

SATA ang HDD ng PS3 and last time i checked ay nasa 7k ang 250GB nito

^Naku pafs sana nga. Di muna ako bibili ng RE5, I'll wait for impressions first, di ko talaga type yung demo. At least ngayon mas sumusugod na sila kesa dati (old RE games) na pwede kang mag "cross-over" na di ka man lang matatamaan o mahahablot hahaha.

File size depends on the game actually. In my experience about 600 MB - 1GB yung size nung karamihan. Pinakamalaki kong na DL is Burnout Paradise, about 3GB yun. Internet speed? I recommend having a high speed DSL/broadband connection.

mga bossing, question din, we're planning to go to mall of asia come sunday. i'm here from batangas pa and i'm planning to buy ps3 there. san ba maganda don bumili, it's obvious na mas mahal sa toy kingdom ang ps3 tapos wala pang kasamang mga freebies siguro or something. san kaya sa mall of asia?

another newbie question, nabasa ko na pwede mong installan ng yellowdog linux yung ps3, and one thing na pwede dun is to run vlc player.. i'm thingking, pwede na din kaya ang mkv files doon?
