Did you know we design and built aircrafts in the 70's?

Philippine Aerospace Development Corporation was established in 1973,we were trying to domesticate a MBB Bo 105 copy, but didnt push through
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_Aerospace_Development_Corporation

in 1986 we were trying to build a light attack aircraft the "defiant 300" between the Philippine Aerospace Development Corporation (PADC), Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the Philippine Aerospace and Sciences Foundation (PASF)

what do we not know yet?pasensya na late bloomer, we should pick where we left off and start an industry
recently i discovered while searching there's a new established, Aerospace Industries Association of the Philippines

now we're restarting it..Famous Secret Precision Machining, Inc. (FSPMI) built the first flying filipino made aircraft

now the "WIG"
A Ground Effect Vehicle (GEV) is one that attains level flight near the surface of the earth, making use of the aerodynamic interaction between the wings and the surface known as ground effect. Most known are the Soviet ekranoplanes, but names like wing-in-ground-effect (WIG) vehicle, flarecraft, sea skimmer, SkimMachine, or wing-in-surface-effect ship (WISE) occur. In recent years a large number of different GEV types have been developed for both civilian and military use. However, these craft are yet to be put in general use.

This WIG is of a Filipino design, made and solely funded by Capt. Art Velasquez, an aeronautical engineer. It is made up of composite materials and will be the first of its kind in the Philippines if put into completion and gains operational status. As of this date it is already 80% near completion. The plane is currently assembled in Aviation Technology Innovators (ATI) hangar in Domestic Airport, Pasay City. As per the post of Mr. Manny Dela Cruz in his facebook page, WIG is not classified as aircraft and not covered by Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) hence it will be covered by Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA). To quote, he said in his post “…best option to go direct to Boracay right at the doorstep of the resort of your choice… come to think of it 7000 plus islands, I wonder how many mmore islands like Boracay can be made accessible by this kind of craft that does not need a runway floats like a boat with a speef of an aircraft when in ground effect…”.

is there evidence that we are already building in the 1950's?

the roxas and the quirino administration was so busy rebuilding the country

the americans gave us 800 million dollars worth of military surplus to sell it and used the money for the rehabilitation of the war torn Philippines the historian perceived that we were highly devastated second to Poland

therefore building an airplane was not possible that time but it is possible to fly a surplus airplane gave by the americans

Actually, he deposed himself.

As I said, he deposed himself. Ferdinand Marcos is like a character in a tragedy: he was gifted by the gods with graces beyond human ken but was also given an all-too-human flaw. And that flaw--which he either didn't recognize or refused to recognize--led to his downfall.

For the human flawed, I don't believe in that. If you will look at the next presidents after him, same issues are raised, human rights, etc. That makes it negate that premise. What I just don't understand is that how the next presidents can't accept that fact that life before is better than now. That pride.

That's exactly the point. Marcos had a human flaw, meaning it's shared by everyone of us--whether we're presidents or citizens--in varying degrees and forms. As former president Bill Clinton once said in an interview: "Most of the problems we face are due to the frailties that we share."

That's why it's always so easy to say that life is better under authoritarian rule. That's why life appeared to be better under Marcos than it does now. Because it's less humiliating when one looks around and sees that there are "forty million cowards" like one's self under "one son of a bitch"
