Guys please be technical with my question wag yung haka-haka lol. Personally I do rest after a playing and have cold shower. please tell me if im doing it wrong. Some of my friends they do take shower immediately even if they are pawis na pawis. According to them its much better daw. medyo confusing. because hindi naman sila nurse or doctor.. kindly explain mga medical team dito sa espiya. thanks.

sakin nagbabasa talaga ako kung pagkatapos.
ang masama yung pagod na talaga yung body parts lalo na kung sa mata.
pati yung pagod na sa trabaho tapos may kasabay lang na magbuhat sumama na, tapos ligo pa.
kailangan talagang nakapahinga o kaya pa. minsan ang workout hindi para mapagod. mas maganda gawin pangkondisyon
lalo na kung hindi naman sasali sa tournament. oki yun basa basta hindi babad para sakin.

as long as it's a hot bath or even luke warm...not too cold, im speaking based from experience chief  toast::

kung cold make sure na mas malapit yung level ng body temp mo sa tubig kaya cooldown muna ng konti para di nakakaubo or sipon. Other than that kalokohan yang pasma na yan

I take a cold bath around 5-10 mins after working out or running. Just enough to cool down and lower your heart rate. I still perspire a lot afterwards though.

Sorry cant back this up, there's just too much schools of thought and broscience involved in these things.  toast::

yung kasabay namin nagreview, after magbasketbol, naligo siya agad.. Ayun natigok.. Dead on arrival..

teknikan mo na lang, very quick bath. . pero mas safe pa din mag pahinga muna kaunti kahit 1hr or 3 hrs. .ligo ka nang hindi malamig na tubig. .sabon agad tapos banlaw wala nang hilod hilod rest day nalang yun hilod. .
ganyan kasi ginagawa ko pag after mag train. kaso napansin nang gf ko may kaunting varicose veins na ako sa likod, ,dahil siguro sa habit ko or ewan ko lang

nakikita mo ba mga athlete player specially sa US after the game nag shower agad sila pero hindi cold, dapat warm para hindi   mabigla ang muscle. Mas maganda kung pawis ka pa rin habang nagshower tapos warm bath na mabilisan lang.

TS, well ang alam ko, ok lang as long as immediately after ka maliligo, yhung hindi ka pa natutuyuan ng pawis. And luke warm water, kasi sabi ng tito ko na doktor, nakakarelax yun ng mga ugat. Ako, after magbasketball and mag-gym naliligo agad, pero mabilis lang.

I agree, wag lang mag papatuyo ng pawis. Though it doesn't matter if the water is cold or warm. Medyo abstain pa nga ako sa warm water kasi bumababa yung dugo from the head, kaya madalas dun may nahihilo after.

Just to throw it in. What about the ice bath technique post workout?

Wala naman scientifically proven reason kung bakit hindi pwede mag-shower immediately after workout. Most professionals would suggest that because it is the fastest way to cool down. So since cool down ang goal, it is usually better to do it immediately after workout.

Ang ubo at sipon ay dala ng virus at hindi nakukuha sa paliligo. Well, unless na lang may dumura o humatsing dun sa tubig na ginamit mong pampaligo or dun sa twalya mong pinambanlaw. Ang hindi alam ng karamihan e at any one time, may tsansang may flu/cold virus kang dala-dala sa katawan mo at either immune ka dito or unti-unti pa lang sila dumarami kaya hindi ka pa humahatsing or umuubo.

Ice baths are becoming popular among pro-athlethes at marami sa kanila ang nagsasabing effective 'to, pero ngayon pa lang ito sumisikat at wala pang extensive studies sa effectiveness nito. In fact, even experts recommending this couldn't agree kung paano nagw-work, pero may dalawang general ideas.

Yung isa, may harmful toxins na nap-produce ang katawan during exercise at pababagalin ng ice bath ang daloy ng dugo sa katawan. Pagkatapos ng ice bath (ung iba nags-suggest pa ng hot shower after an ice bath), biglang papasok ang fresh dugo para ma-flush out ung toxins.

Yung isa naman, parang katulad ng compression clothes daw ang effect. Kapag nag-e-exercise kasi, hindi nakikita ng mata, pero at a cellular level, na-banat-banat na ung muscles natin. Paglusong sa ice bath, nagk-contract ang mga muscles, mas nagiging tight, kaya mas mabilis maka-recover. Or para mas madali imagine-in, isipin mong pumutok ung magkabilang kilay mo. Yung isa tinahi, yung kabila pinabayaang nakabuka. Mas mabilis gagaling ung tinahi kasi ung kabila laging nababanat.

di ko sure kasi sa medical field wala naman yungterm na pasma pero base sa personal experience ko lalo na after mag GYM nanginginig yung kamay ko after siguro tatagal yun mismo one week then yung mga kakilala ko na ganun din gingaawa after naman magbasketball, yung isa nadedo at yung isa naparalyze half ng katawan. alam ko same din yun sa mga babae na naliligo during menstruation.

well siguro base nalang sa mga kwento din. .sa school namin may namatay naman after mag basketball uminom siya malamig na tubig tapos tumapat sa electric fan. namatay na lang bigla.

siguro nag kaka shock yung katawan?
iwas na lang siguro cold bath. .yung sa fitness first kasi meron after gym dun na steam bath. .
ganun na lang siguro mabilis na lukewarm water bath or hotter

Hehe... Since naghahanap si TS ng technical answers, sagutin ko 'to. No offense meant, pero unless nalunod siya sa isang basong tubig, e I'm sure hindi yun ang ikinamatay nya. More likely, inaatake na siya sa puso ng hindi nya nalalaman kaya siya uminom ng tubig at tumapat sa bintilador.

Medically speaking, ok lang raw maligo sabi ni doc. (napanuod ko sa isang talk show interviewing a doctor) pero hindi ako naliligo kapag super pawis, pinapahupa ko muna and pagod at pawis.

What i never do brad after taking a cold shower or after a workout e yung tumapat sa electric fan. Pneumonia abot mo nun. Hinahayaan ko lang yung pawis ko tumagaktak pa rin even after the cold 3-5 min bath.

Based in my personal experience after workout i took a short shower specially pawis na pawis ako and there is NO issue..

basta luke warm water or hot shower. basta yung para lang ma refresh ka. siguro matagal na yung 5 minutes. this is based on experience. usually after ng hot bath eh tuloy pa rin ang labas ng pawis.
