Tulong po!!! kasi gusto ng pinsan ko na palitan yung processor niya. ang gamit niya is P II, he wants na maging P III. ang nakalagay sa chassis ng pc ay hanggang 450MHz. pwede kayang palitan iyon ng P III na 450MHz?

Reply naman po sa mga PC Technicians kung pwede. Salamat po sa mga mag-re-reply. Antay ko po yung mga reply niyo.

ok just a couple of things:

1)depending on the MoBo u have determines what CPU u can use, better read the MoBo manual(if u can still find it seeing its a P2 MoBo) to find out if it can carry a P3 cpu(which i highly doubt), fact is spefic CPU generations have specific MoBos that can accomodate them, from Pentium 1-3, Pentium 4(having 2 different socket types at 478 and LGA 774), to Pentium Ds(the pretend dual core CPU), to Core 2 Duos(real dual core CPUs) to the extra juced up Core 2 Duo Extremes and the Godly CORE 2 QUADRO... they have specific MoBos and socket types they can accomodate, oh and lets not forget about the Celerons and the Celeron Ds(having both 478 and 775 options)

2)finding a P3 CPU for sure will be 2nd hand for sure will not be in AAA condition, unless u already have a P3 CPU its pointless coz the software that comes out now demands a PC atleast be un the Pentium 4 area... would just be a waste of money

3) u use the word "chassis" what do u mean exactly

hehe parang gali ka ata,my answer as a have stated above, pero if u want to pursue it its ur decision, i just wanted to give clarity, hehe sensya na i refer to the cover as the CASING, i cant realy say if pwede or nde kc P2 and P3 were from an age long forgotten, meron na ako nakita kc p2 mobo that can use p3 cpu pero u can check mobo MANUAL(since it is the documentation for ur CPU) pano kung ung sticker sa harap nde naman pala talaga para sa cpu na nasa loob and dinikit lang

hindi naman ako galit bro.ito nga naghahanap na lang ako ng P2 na 450MHz na binebenta sa net. ano ba minimum requirements ng OS n XP. ang sabi kasi sa web 450MHz kaya ba iyon?

windows XP napatakbo ko na sa P3 700mhz CPU pero to compensate i put in 512mb of ram kc masyado nasakal ung CPU sa load ng XP... ok naman sya back then when xp first cam out in 2001 pa un pero considering meron na SP 2 ang mga XP ngayon baka nde na kayanin ng anything below 1ghz ang XP

if u do plan on installing XP dnt expect u can play games or watch videos or even surf the net ng maayos kc ubos agad ang system resources mo by running xp itself

iba ang mobo ng p3 sa p2.. btw, if memory serves right 450mhz is already P3

ang alam ko sa PII ay Slot 1 sya (na parang Camera), though ang PIII ay may slot 1 din hangang 600Mhz lang sya, meron namang nagbebenta ng 2nd hand na PIII kasama na yung board and processor, meron d2 sa amin na CPU lang ang binebenta nya, PIII-800, 256RAM, FX5500 128MB Video card, 15GB Hard disk, CDROM Drive, casing, Keyboard, mouse, speaker, naka Windows XP na rin sya, P4,500 baka interesado ka lang tol.

                Ganon ba mga bro. hindi ko na nga i-upgrade sa P III ayos na sa akin ito. maraming salamat sa mga recommendations niyo.
                Assemble n lang ako ng mga 2nd hand para sigurado.
