some of our fellowmen think pacquiao should run for vice presidency or president for different reasons.
what's your opinion about it ? gusto nyo ba siyang tumakbo or ayaw ?
my take:
pacquiao should never run for any high level public office for the reasons of experience, intelligence and influence.
for experience, he should prove himself on a baranggay or a vice mayor level. at this low level, a normal person can deduce what he is really doing. enough said on that
for intelligence, he's been boxing all his life and only started studying in college lately. in my view, handling a high level public office with such limited knowledge can prove downright dangerous and potentially chaotic to our country (remember erap). if you're going to argue to me that even an educated person can't run our country effectively (examples, marcos, cory, ramos and arroyo), don't. there's no such thing as a perfectly runned nation, as it was proven in history time and time again the rise and fall of many great empires.
for influence, if we were to vote manny now for, let's say, president for the reason of giving our country great honor by defeating a media hyped boxer, then we should burn in hell for such stupidity. running a nation is no joke, as in every decision you make affect the lives of a million or so people. now if we were to vote manny for the reasons that he should be emulated for great things he has done for serving his fellow countrymen for period of time then he should be president (citing ninoy here, also citing back the experience issue)
in the end, it's only my opinion but if many of us shared my view, then maybe we could change our future
manny only gave us hope for one day. he should be giving us hope everyday if he were to run for presidency
