'em planning to buy an xbox360 kaso eto yung mga questions ko:
1. kelangan ko ba ng HD TV? or pwede na tong LCD ko na gamit ko sa PC - LG flatron w2252tQ
2. meron bang uhmm "non-legit" games na mabibili or nadodownload? di kasi ako gnun kayaman
3. ano ano yung mga dapat hanapin pag bibili ng xbox (yung ready to play yung mga pirata)

1) for your model na DVI lang ang connection pwede:

kasi ang sa akin i had to rig a modified cable para mag ka audio. bali may output yung cable to an external speaker or a component.

b.1)san makakabili ng DVI? ano mismo sasabihin ko sa store? HDMI-DVI? o DVI tpos may converter HDMI? (sorry obobs ako sa mga ganyan)..

b.2)how much does the original games cost?

b.3)anong 'perks' makukuha ko sa xbox live? hmm naisip ko yung multiplayer pag naka live ako mukhang masaya at kaya kong tiisin high prices ng orig pag worth it yung experience. btw im using bayanDSL (bayantel)
sa xbox live ba pwede mag DL ng free or kelangan pa magbayad? lets say may mga addons sa game. free ba yun? o depende may free at may kelangan rin bayaran?

kasi ang sa akin i had to rig a modified cable para mag ka audio. bali may output yung cable to an external speaker or a component.

ay oo nga pala since wala AUDIO output you need to get speakers na pwede saksakan ng STEREO L-R (yung red and white) kasi dun mo papadaanin ang audio mo or get speakers na may 3.5mm LINE-IN and get an RCA-to-3.5mm line in adapter

b.2) if you really want to get into orig games shop around sa TipidPC or magmember ka sa pinoyxbox.com kasi makakahanap ka ng 2nd hand games na mababa ang presyo AND you can even find people to trade games with pero ang cheapest place to buy orig games (brand new) is DATABLITZ problem is hindi nagaaply sa pinas ang value depreciation ng games (or not as much like here sa US) kasi old game dito as cheap as under $10 na brand new(kasi hindi nabili or nastock)

bro kung bibili ka lang din ng pirated games for your Xbox tingin ko hindi ka makakalaro online sa Xbox Live kasi banned na mga modded consoles/pirated game, madedetect nila yan. Tsaka if I'm not mistaken may subscription fee ang paggamit ng online services nila.

playing online for PS3 (PSN) is free, yun nga lang walang pirated games which you are looking for. Ang masasabi ko lang it's still worth it. Nice graphics and madaming features ang PS3. Pero if you're strapped for cash like you said, baka problem nga yun kasi alam ko you would need an HDTV for PS3 (if it's Region 1 games I think). madami naman mura diyan na 2nd hand games kung nagtitipid ka.

HDTV is not a necessity.  All games are playable on a standard TV.

Being "playable," however, " doesn't mean being convenient to the eyes.

Because most 360 games are created for the high definition generation, you'll discover that some texts and in-game instructions are not even readable on your standard TV.  Examples: texts on Dead Rising will be IMPOSSIBLE to read, even if your standard TV is 100 inches long; scores on NBA Live 10 will be difficult to see; weapon icons on Gears of War 1 and 2 will be slightly distinguishable; etc.

Want to play your 360 on an LCD monitor?  No problem.  Just buy a first party VGA cable from Datablitz.  Sometimes they sell it for P800.  Sometimes for P1,300.  I don't know what causes such fluctuations.  You will need a good speaker set, however, and an RCA 1/8 jack female (pictured below), P20, CDR King.

Why do you think the Xbox 360 is outselling the PS3? 

Just take a quick stroll in Green Hills, North Mall, University Mall, etc. or just take a quick glance at popular torrent sites and you won't even have to ask this question.

Naturally, you'd have to ask for a modified console.

More importantly, however, is that you have to ask for  unit with the Jasper chipset.  I can attest to the reliability of this chipset.  Just yesterday, I forgot to turn off my Jasper 360.  I just found out a few hours ago.  Guess what?  The damn thing didn't even heat up.

How do you know it's a Jasper?  Open up a sealed unit.  Check the details at the back of the unit.  It should read 12.1A somewhere there. 

You can buy a modified Jasper from Green Hills for P13,500 with 10 free games.  This is the arcade package, meaning, no hard disk drive.  You don't need the HDD since you won't be going online anytime soon as you'll just get banned anyway.  Though games can be installed on the HDD to prevent unnecessary heating when readings discs, it's not necessary as the Jasper doesn't have overheating issues anyway.

yung saksakan ng speakers mo  is standard line in kaya you need that RCA-to-3.5mm adapter na mabibili mo rin sa CDrKing para sa audio mo, you need to plug the L-R (red and white) sa RCA jacks then plug them sa Spakers mo as if the were your PC speakers, yan yung naka pic sa taas

Jasper units have a LOWER % for 3RL(3 red lights=dead xbox) kaya mas maigi get this kasi the chances of you getting the 3rl, even if you get older units same price(unless 2nd hand) kaya wala ka rin matitipid and mas at risk ka pa for 3rl

all xboxs can be modded since yung DVD drive lang naman ang iFlash dun
