what is this gift? a gift so treasured by man
of poets and nobles, wise and the like
is it such a beauty rendered on canvas?
a spring of colors entangled in eternity
a mystery amongst all which no one has deciphered
the call for knowledge, a mere spock in time
for this vague pantheon of mortal capacities
are none compared to the source of intelligence
the need to know, the will to live
to know the meaning of all this
where did we come from and were do we go
i think in this lifetime, we will never know
