sa dami nang maglalaban laban sa pagka presidente, more than 10 siguro minority president ang mananalo tulad nang nangyari kay Ramos. si Chiz Escudero ay matalino at bata pa. nagmamadali na ba siya? may 3 more yrs pa siya sa senado bakit d na lang muna tapusin tapos sa 2016 na siya pumorma. sabagay matalo man siya sa pagka pangulo sa 2010 balik senado pa rin siya walang mawawala sa kanya.

mas magiging legit si cheeze kung uupo muna siya sa senate for a second term tapos timbangin nya next election...

baka mangyari sa kanya eh parang si lacson last presidential race....

kung hindi siya nagpadala sa mga intsik niyang adviser... at nakuntento siyang vice president malamang na siya na ang presidente ngayon ng pilipinas...

kaso hindi sila nag team up ni panday.. syempre may mga sariling intrest kaya nawala ang game plan...

silang 2 ni Loren Legarda ang maglalaban sa nomination nang kanilang partidong NPC. pero mukhang nde siya seryoso to run for the presidency unlike Legarda na lantaran ang pag target sa malacanang. Chiz is still young mag 40 yrs old pa lang siya kaya masyadong hilaw pa & besides after 2010 may 3 yrs pa siya as senator why not wait for 2016. i think he will not run for 2010.

1. He didn’t support the impeachment of then-Comelec Commissioner Luzviminda Tancangco despite the overwhelming evidence against her. Chiz cannot deny the fact that Tancangco was the architect of the Mega Pacific deal that involved billions of pesos. The deal was later junked by the Supreme Court. She was also involved in the Voters Registration and Identification System (VRIS) project. It reeked with irregularity when she awarded it to Photokina for P6.56 billion despite the Comelec’s budget of only P1.2 billion.

Actually, the impeachment reached the plenary but Escudero and his Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) party had the numbers to thwart the impeachment.

2. Escudero didn’t support the impeachment of former Ombudsman Aniano Desierto. Lawyer Ernesto Francisco and civil society groups filed an impeachment case against Desierto for culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust. Despite the overwhelming evidence similar to the one filed against current Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez, then Representative Escudero didn’t have any second thoughts in helping the majority junk the impeachment complaint.
