If you want to know more about chiz, i guess ask nyo na lang mga members ng triskelion.

Isa isahin natin:

1. Ping - lagi nasa office ni Ronnie; lumabas pala na ang campaign funds nya last election eh galing kay Mang Lucio;
2. Mar - umatras na ang financier ng Mega World na gagawa sana ng maraming condo sa araneta center at ang sugar industry na pinagkukunan ng mga taga Panay ay hindi na gaanong malaki tulad nuong mga 1960s so I am wondering saan sya kukuha ng campaign funds;
3. Kabayan - lumabas na sa pahayagan na he was financed pala ng tumakbo ng pera ng legacy group thru Mang Celso;
4. Loren - wala naman big business ang pamilya nya para pagkunan ng pang campaign funds so naturally, she will depend on contributions;
5. Villar - ang sales ng mga real estate projects nya ay hindi naman gaanong kalakihan at hindi rin very liquid to finance a Presidential campaign which requires at least Twelve Billion Pesos;
6. Erap - marami pa rin natira sa funds na contributions from his last vice presidential and presidential campaigns;
7. Gordon - wala syang pagkukunan ng pera dahil walang malaking negosyo ang pamilyang Gordon;
8. Cayetano - wala naman ini-wan na malaking business ang ama nila to give so much liquidity.

The reality of politics is big money.  Obama won because he was oozing with liquidity.  On the day of election itself, you need to give lunch sa lahat ng election boys mo dun sa precincts all over the country and dinner at merienda during the counting.  That would require at least Four Billion Pesos for one single day.  Kaya nadaya si FPJ kasi wala syang mga bata sa mga presinto during the counting.  Di pa kasama ang gagastusin mo during the campaign runs itself.  Don't be deceived with motherhood statements na wala naman ibig sabihin.  Will talks of environment create jobs? Will talks of peace and order entice investors?

Think about these:

1.  A senator na utak pulis pa rin who will give credence to a diary page at hindi man lang nag consult sa isang abogado on how to go about authenticating such diary page prior to its acceptance in a public fora - and people hope to make the guy a President?
2.  A senator who wants a continuing public hearing on the fertilizer scam just for publicity mileage and let the liar run around him with his lies instead of just citing him for contempt, save time and people's mony and let the liar waste himself at Muntinglupa until he tells the truth - thus revealing a very weak character lacking in resolve, decisiveness and guts;
3.  A senator aspiring to be President whose concept of an incinerator reveals ignorance of advanced technologies in garbage disintegration - and hopes Filipinos can accept someone who does not do her homework;
4.  A senator who thinks that his liaison with a lady broadcaster will create the bandwagon for his presidential ambition
yet, can't speak nor expound on major political issues;
5.  A senator who cant even create his own publicity stunts so he would rather magkape ng tea; and
6.  A would-be presidential returnee who cant even read reports and would rather have his Executive Secretary read it for him and instead waste his time on bacchanalian pursuits right in his presidential abode.

The reason GMA has to do those things as alleged kasi patuloy pa rin syang nagbabayad sa mga Generals na nagluklok sa kanya.  Pag wala sya binigay, she is out of her office the following day.  Kaya wala din syang magawa.  Wala syang private army, wala syang sympathy groups.

Ayoko kasi sa kanya masyado siyang active as a part of the opposition.

But even if he is the best, useless pa rin if yung ibang sulok ng gobyerno (VP down to barangay council, militar, pulis, govt. agencies) and even the private individuals and businesses e corrupt pa rin ;D (pero ibang topic na naman to ;D....)

Magandang usapan ito over a couple of bottles of beer.  toast::

Republic Act No. 9503
An Act Further Expanding the Organizational Structure of the Court of Tax Appeals, Amending for the Purpose Certain Sections of the Law Creating the Court of Tax Appeals, and for Other Purposes Approved by the President on June 12, 2008

Republic Act No. 9504
An Act Amending Sections 22, 24, 34, 35, 51 and 79 of Republic Act No. 8424, as Amended, Otherwise Known as the National Internal Revenue Code of 1987. Approved by the President on June 17, 2008

Grin

We know better though.

Did my research on that cheez dude sa senate website.

Tagal narin kasi ako di nagbabasa about politiks!

It seems he's against the National ID system.

Quote
- Sen. Escudero on National ID system.

Dagdag gastos lang?
What about the advantages of this National ID system? Kung sa gastos lang din... Ano ba mas magastos at hassle? Marami ID o isa?
Chiz, again.

The military and the police never said that the National ID system will end the insurgency. But it can help? Can it?
Yes kahirapan at kawalang hustisya, that's a fuel for the insurgency. But it doesn't mean we have to put our guard down diba?

Makes me wonder, medyo close to'ng si Escudero sa Batasan 5 who are openly against the National ID system na parang takot na takot sa panukala na to ma E-Espiya daw sila ng gobyerno, eh kung wala ka naman ginagawa masama bakit matatakot? Oh, oh... oo nga pala supporters nga pala sila ng NPA. Well yung mga iba ata sa kanila and I'm sure some people from their party are namumukid.

Funny thing, many people think na wala kwenta si Trillanes (I'm no Trillanes supporter though) kung sa batas din pala marami na ipasang bills ito. 150+ yata. 2nd placer siya.

Pero I still don't like him as a political figure, dahil narin sa mga pangarap niyang "Last Revolution".

Senate bloats 'pork' by P20 B in 2009 budget
By Jess Diaz Updated December 22, 2008 12:00 AM

http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?ArticleId=426024&publicationSubCategoryId=63

The Senate has inserted more than P20 billion in additional pork barrel in the proposed P1.415-trillion 2009 national budget.

The insertions brought to a deadlock the Senate-House talks on next year’s budget, resulting in the failure of Congress to approve the outlay before they adjourned their last session for the year last Wednesday.

The conference panel, co-chaired by Quirino Rep. Junie Cua, appropriations committee chairman, and his Senate counterpart, Sen. Edgardo Angara, met only once, last Tuesday.

The talks immediately hit a blank wall as congressmen demanded to know the details of the senatorial insertions.

It was Angara’s finance committee that put together the senators’ version of the 2009 budget.

Their insertions were taken from reductions they made in agency budgets and lump sum appropriations. The cuts were then realigned to their pet projects and favorite agencies.

By tradition and practice, insertions and realignments are treated as part of the congressional pork barrel.

Even without augmentations, the pork barrel is already bloated as it dispenses P200 million a year for each of 24 senators and P70 million for each of 238 House members, for a combined total of P21.4 billion.

The senatorial insertions included a P250-million augmentation for Aurora Special Economic Zone Authority, which is a creation of Angara (Aurora is his home province); and a P329-million increase for Cagayan Economic Zone Authority, a creation of Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile (Cagayan is his home province).

But the biggest of the senatorial insertions, also known as “initiatives,” is a P10-billion economic stimulus fund. This is a new item in the budget that is not contained in President Arroyo’s proposal and in the House version.

The second biggest is a P6-billion augmentation to the funds of the office of the secretary (osec) of the Department of Education.

Senators also augmented the osec funds of the Department of Transportation and Communications by P1.4 billion, Department of Foreign Affairs by P856.5 million, Department of Trade and Industry by P144 million, Department of Health (osec) by P190.3 million, Department of Labor and Employment by P77 million, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority by P84 million.

They increased the lump-sum priority development assistance fund by P1 billion to P7.3 billion. The fund is part of the annual congressional pork barrel and is used for the so-called “soft” projects of senators and congressmen like medical assistance.

They also increased their own budget by P250 million to P2.1 billion and funds for the Senate Electoral Tribunal by P34 million to P119.8 million.

The Angara committee added P361.7 million to the budget of the University of the Philippines, bloating it to P6.8 billion. Angara was UP president during the Marcos years.

UP’s budget dwarfs the outlays of other big state universities and colleges, where poorer students enroll.

For instance, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, which received an additional P19 million from the Senate, will have a budget of P654.4 million, less than a tenth of what UP will have. Philippine Normal University, which will get a P15-million increase, will have P282.4 million.

The Senate slashed various appropriations to fund its insertions. The biggest reduction of P10 billion was taken from the debt service fund.

The other cuts were taken from osec funds in the Department of Public Works and Highways (P3.6 billion), Department of Agrarian Reform (P3.2 billion), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (P1.2 billion), Department of Social Welfare and Development (P243 million), Department of Justice (P286.8 million), and Department of Energy (P61.4 million).

The agriculture and fisheries modernization program lost P2.5 billion in the senators’ version of the 2009 budget.

Local government units lost a total of P3.9 billion – P2.9 billion in “financial subsidy” and P1 billion for Kilos Asenso program, which funds LGU projects provided they put up counterpart money.

Other agencies that senators took funds from included National Electrification Administration, P240 million; National Housing Authority, P300 million; Bureau of Fire Protection, P191 million; Philippine Navy, P50 million; Armed Forces of the Philippines (general headquarters), P25 million; and Bureau of Immigration, P24.3 million.

Senatorial budget initiatives were at the center of a controversy a few months ago when opposition Sen. Panfilo Lacson exposed a P200-million insertion then Senate President Manuel Villar made in the 2008 budget for a road project in Parañaque.

The controversy has led to the ouster of Villar and his replacement with Enrile.

A few years back, Lacson exposed senatorial pork barrel augmentations amounting to P3 billion. Lacson does not avail himself of pork barrel funds. – Jess Diaz

Kawawang AFP at Bureau of Fire Protection na kaltasan pa.
