Please disable MegaUpLLoad if you have it installed. Although both scripts will operate concurrently - that is, they will not break - MegaKermit contains the functionality of MegaUpLLoad and so it is preferable to enable only one of the scripts.
The script was designed for Firefox with the Greasemonkey extension installed. You can also use it with Opera, Safari, or any other Web browser that supports user scripts. This installation guide is targeted for Firefox, so if you wish to use another browser, follow its instructions on how to install a user script. Due to many improvements in Spidermonkey, its JavaScript engine, Firefox 3.0 or later is preferred.
1. Install the Greasemonkey (
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748) extension. Follow the preceding link and click the green button that says "Install Now." Let Firefox restart to install Greasemonkey.
2. This optional step is recommended to keep the script working. In Firefox, enter about:config into the address bar. In the middle of the screen, right-click and select New from the menu, and String from the submenu. Enter general.useragent.override as the preference name, and Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0 MEGAUPLOAD 2.0 as the string value.
3. Install MegaKermit (

4. Create an account at
http://www.megaupload.com/signup/. Be sure to click the verification link in the e-mail they send you; if you don't get an e-mail rather soon, try again.
5. Log into your Megaupload account. If you are logged in, Megaupload will display a small welcome message at the top of the screen and the toolbar will display an appropriate message as well.
6. Browse to the Happy Hour page at
http://www.megaupload.com/premium/?happyhour. There is also a small button on the toolbar that you can click to directly go to this page. The first time you visit the page, the script will begin automatically refreshing; please let it run its course. Subsequent page accesses may result in refreshes, so please be patient until it reports that Happy Hour has been enabled. If the script refreshes repeatedly for over a minute, you are probably not eligible for Happy Hour. ☹
You should be able to enable Happy Hour during the appropriate times from now. Enjoy! ☺
