Parliamentary form of government, payag ba kayo?
« on: November 25, 2007, 01:41:57 am »

in my opinion, federalism is the best form of government. each region should be given enough power to run on it's own.

why should we give away the region's income only to receive a parcel of what it gave to imperial manila?

i mean manila is not the philippines.

there are other cities that can stand on it's own & not just manila.

if we will have a pure federalism form of government, it doesn't really matter if GMA is the president or not coz what matters is the position of governor in each state. well in the case of our country, a governor for each region.

in other words, each region can either compete with each other who'll get richer or they can help poorer regions depending on the agreement of the governors.

a president's role will merely be the head of all governors & the good thing is the executive department which in our country is malacañang will only get a parcel of the region's earnings.

this should elimate all those useless departments like the senate or house of congress w/c should curb corruption to a miminum(take note i didn't say eliminate coz let's face it, corruption will never die, but at least it can be minimized).

if our government are as dedicated to what they push as no corruption in the government then federalism is the answer. otherwise, they will make up something that will only save their own sorry butts.

they said it was going to be a combination of parliamentary & federalism.

limited my understanding may be for parliamentary system but i don't see both forms of government can be combined with each other.

pure federalism will still give power to the people(parang TM hehehehe).
