ok i really dnt understand what all the fuss is about? here are some key points:

1) she was not talking to a Filipino doctor ergo was not a racist remark, she was talking to a Caucasian doctor(or in other words WHITE), IF ANYONE HAS THE TIME PLS READ THROUGH THE LINES, she in NO WAY DEGRADES/INSULTS/QUESTIONS THE COMPETENCE OF FILIPINO DOCTORS but questions the competence of the "CRACKER" doctor for giving a diagnosis sh does not agree with specially menopause

2) THE TRUTH HURTS DOESNT IT? she ddnt refer to filipino doctors as incompetent, she was merely citing the simple FACT/TRUTH that DIPLOMAS, TRANSCRIPT OF RECORD, IDs, CERTIFICATES and other important legal/professional/school documents CAN EASILY BE BOUGHT AND FAKED IN A LITTLE PLACE WE LIKE TO CALL RECTO and guess what, one of the writers may have knowledge of this and included it in reference to question the AUTHENTICITY OF THE WHITE/CAUCASIAN/CRACKER DOCTOR AND NOT FILIPINO DOCTORS

nag attend ako ng seminar conducted by those who had trained abroad. tinuturo na kung ano ang bagong natutunan nila para magamit din ng kapwa doctor dito. ang nangyari, resistant ang mga doctor natin dito. don pa rin sila sa alam nila dati. dapat tuloy tuloy ang pag aaral ng medical practitioners natin.

in some ways, just like in this situation, we filipinos are at fault here. ayaw natin ng pagbabago sa mga nakasanayan na. makakatulong naman ang pagbabago kasi di tumitigil ang pagbabago sa mundo. kung gusto natin mag improve at mawala ang pagtingin sa atin na 3rd world country, marami pa tayong babaguhin. ang mga nangyayari sa bansa natin ay nagiging katawatawa sa iba.

hindi ko rin gusto yung sinabi sa show, pero tignan muna natin sarili natin. gamitin ito para lalo tayo maging achievers. tanggalin natin yung negative perception ng ibang bansa.

OK lang yun, alam naman natin na masmagaling tayo sa kanila kaya nga ang daming natin doctors and nurses sa US. Nakapag-work ako sa US and madaming bobo sa kanila. Madami din very low IQ dun. So I am not affected at all and I don't watch that show anyway.

So many times na ginagamit ang Filipino as a joke, never take them seriously. Kahit sa movies ni Rob Schneider (Filipino), "The Animal" meron scene sa airport isang filipino custom security tinawag na stupid but it was just a joke.

A fact also that a lot of Filipino are known for falsifying college diplomas. Dami sa recto di ba? A lot of pinoys have been buying falsified IDs, transcripts, diplomas and other documents kaya huwag kayo magreact masyado sa show because somehow medyo totoo.

One thing I don't get is why attack Teri Hatcher or rather the actress? I know at some point the actors have some sort of responsibility but it's a freaking damn long shot.

damn, MasterChief63, this topic really struck a nerve, huh? Well, I can't blame you...people, in general, have always been blinded and are incensitive to what others feel. Sensitivity only comes out on the surface when they become victim. People just have to learn how to step back and look at the bigger picture at times....pity....

if anyone d remembers Arty Lang who now works at the Howard Stern Show on XM radio and was one of the original member of oldschool MadTV he has a lot of jokes that kinda hit below the belt against pinoys, and like u master meme i watch a lot of US stand up comedy kaya the Desperate Housewives scene was just a scene, to me anyways

ito lang ang akin...i have seen a few replies here boasting of how better doctors, nurse, etc. Filipinos are compared to the white man...I couldn't agree more...however, with all these boasting of superior intelligence, I expect that as intelligent as we are, we should be able to distinguish a real attack from a meaningless joke. Let' stop acting like children who would cry over ANYTHING. anyway, kung sa medical professionals din lang naman ang pag uusapan, pang world-class talaga ang product ng pilipinas. kaso hindi na nabibigyan ng pansin ang mga graduates natin. kung titingnan mula sa point of view ng mga amerikano, mass-produced na ang medical course graduates dito, kahit sabihin mong quality products sila. at may mga nakakalusot din na mga professionals na nag med course lang para kumita kaya walang love sa napiling profession. kung may nakakaalam dito eh kelan lang may sampung nurses na natanggalan ng lisensya dahil sa pagkakamali nila sa trabaho nila. naiisip tuloy ng mga amerikano na mababa ang quality ng mga graduates natin dito. kaya sana, ayusin na ng gobyerno ang sistema ng edukasyon dito sa bansa para hindi na tayo tinutukso.

nabalitaan ko to, baket di yun mga ganito ang palalain natin, baket hindi yun mga achievements ng mga pinoy ang pakalatin natin? why do we have to waste our time on something na walang kwenta? kung palalalain lng natin yan issue ng desperate housewives na yan eh wala tayong pinagkaiba sa mga pulitiko na ang tinututukan eh batikusin ang isat-isa at kalimutan ang problema ng bansa db?
