NEED HELP HERE SA BUSINESS... sana may maka pag advice....
« on: September 16, 2007, 10:40:14 pm »
Hello guys,

ilagay doon. Sana sa mga marunong dyan tulong naman... if some cud share information about this, i'll be so much delighted. At saka kailan ba tayo mag babayad ng buwis sa BIR.   (yung kasing taong pina attend ko sa seminar during registration i hindi na nagreport kaya walang na input sa ledger at columnar book ko)

u shud try to get a bookkeeper, to take care of all your bir reporting requirements.  meron naman dyan who show up once a week just to get ur receipts and expenses so that they can record them on you ledger.  you pay them a monthly retainers fee and they prepare all the bir reporting requirements. in this way, u can concentrate on ur business. although it will cost u, at least it will save u the trouble of those things na hindi ka familiar
I don't judge other people.  I just laugh at their mistakes.

yung ilalagay mo sa ledger book of accouts(debit and Credit input) gaya ng cash or check disbursement. Example of Expense; You paid electric bill 3,000. the recording is Debit-Electric and credit - Cash (bawas to your sales). If your not familiar with accounting process i think you should get bookkeeper or a independent accountant.

yong sinsabi mong debit credit... di ba pareho yun sa income statement.

You mean cguro income statement ba?

I think i dont need muna ng bookkeeper, dagdag gastos yan sa business ko. Kasi simula palang.

If sino pman ang may alam dyan paki advice lang...

any thanks sa suggestion pre...

Nope, the income statement is a different kind of financial statement. It doesn't exactly show the debit-credit whatnots of your business. Basically, you need to have a basic grasp of double-entry (debit-credit) accounting so that you will be able to perform all those auditing requirements. Anyways, if you really don't have a clue of what I'm talking about, then I guess it's best to either buy a basic accounting book and study it yourself or better yet; get a bookkeeper.

yung columnar mo will reflect daily transactions (i.e. sales)

yung ledger mo will reflect balance of each account (i.e. sales, available cash, etc)

sa reporting naman, depende to kung ano type ka. VAT taxpayer ka ba? (not sure since i think internet cafes fall under service)

if you are using a monitoring tool for your cafe (i.e. netimo, cafesuite, etc), then it should have a basic accounting feature included. just print the daily sales report (that will be your columnar entries)

To be safe, get a cpa bookeeper on retainer basis. she will be doing your itr yearly para di ka ma hassel ng BIR on the future.

kuha ka na nga lang bookkeeper or accountant. sa akin kasi may nag-aayos ng books ko, 600 a month lang bayad ko. pag time na ng bayaran sa BIR and tax sa munisipyo, sya na rin pinagbabayad ko. humihingi lang sya ng additional payment pag sya ang lumakad, di pa kasi kasama iyon sa 600 a month. and tuturuan ka pa ng hokus pokus  laffman::

ToBleRone  is right. Bawas sakit ulo if you have a bookkeeper to do accounting works for you.  However, since dagdag overhead, better find time to know basic accounting. Good accountant knows how to " debit ";  "credit", and most importantly " cupit " ( to lessen tax payment).

I think sa journal entries, simple lang dapat tandaan:

DEBIT ( pumasok sa co.) like purchases, cash collections, sales ..
CREDIT ( lumabas ), inventory, cash/check payments, receivables....

pwede rin naman,

Debit  ( New Girlfriend )
      Credit  ( Ex-GF )

hope it helps...

Normally, dalawa ang libro ng negosyo. isa, yung para sa BIR ( bahala na doon ang bookkeeper) at
yung actual ( ikaw ang dapat makaalam nito)

Basic Accounting:
a) balance sheet
assets ( saan ginagamit/napunta ang pera)
    is equals:
liabilities and equity ( saan galing ang pera)
b) Income statement
    sales/revenue
    less:expenses
    net income

How To Record:
Assets ( debit to add ; credit to deduct)
Liabilities/Equity ( credit to add ; debit to deduct)

general background lang po ito but hope it helps
